Until 2007 most Side x Sides were mostly used for utilitarian tasks but the 2008 Polaris RZR 800 forever changed the face of the offroad world.

The new Polaris RZR was designed for speed, agility and serious offroad fun. It's hard to imagine the RZR pulling work detail with the tiny bed and soft suspension but the Polaris RZR was never intended to be used for work. The 2008 Polaris RZR was the first UTV specifically designed for aggressive trail riding with few utility inspired aspects.
Goodyear Tire Dealers Fort Smith ArThe new sporty RZR was powered by a fuel injected, liquid cooled, 760cc twin cylinder 4 stroke.
Ticketmaster The Voice RefundPolaris used a Dual Range, Automatic (PVT) Polaris Variable Transmission with switch-engaged On-Demand 4-Wheel Drive to get power to the wheels.
Evoke Vinyl TileThe RZR rolled on aggressive 25" tires with 9" of suspension travel up front and 9.5" out back.

Since the dry weight was 945 lbs. Polaris installed Hydraulic Disc Brakes on all four corners to keep this beast under control. The new RZR was a huge hit and it wasn't long before the aftermarket companies were manufacturing Longer A-Arms, Better Shocks, and Bolt-Ons that increased power. Polaris took note of the loads of money people were spending on their brand new ride and decided to make a more aggressive model the Polaris RZR "S". The S model was 10.5" wider, 13 mph faster and an additional 2.5" of ground clearance which allowed it to go more places faster than the standard RZR 800. In 2010 Polaris added the RZR 4 to the line-up. It had a second row of seats so the whole family could enjoy trail riding together. Polaris also makes a more budget friendly RZR 570. Don't let the engine size fool you this thing is a beast. With dimensions roughly the same as a std RZR 800 and nearly the same power output the RZR 570 is sure to be a hit. If your looking for an affordable entry into the world of Sport Side X Sides the RZR 570 is the ticket.

What do you do when the kids are no longer satisfied with being a passenger? Why not let them chase you down the trail in their own Side x Side? That's right, Polaris made the RZR 170 specifically designed for youth riders so you don't need to look far for a riding buddy. The 2-wheel drive RZR 170 is powered by a 169cc 4-stroke single with an automatic PVT drive. Don't worry Polaris installed a full roll cage and 4 wheel hydraulic disc brakes to keep the kiddos safe. The first major overhaul to the RZR lineup came in 2011 with the introduction of the Polaris RZR 900. The new 875cc ProStar power-plant produced 88 hp and propelled the RZR 29% faster than the closest competitor. Although the engine was a drastic improvement over the previous RZR, the suspension had to be completely redesigned to provide better handling, shock absorption, and ground clearance. The Double wishbone rear suspension was pitched and the new 3-link Trailing Arm system took it's place. The new suspension provided 13.5 " travel up front and 14" in the rear with an amazing 13" of ground clearance.

In 2011 Polaris also introduced Power-Steering as an option for the RZR series which improved control and helped reduce rider fatigue. For 2014, Polaris introduced the most powerful Side x Side to date, the Polaris RZR 1000 XP! The RZR 1000 XP specs resemble a trophy truck more than a Side x Side. This thing is an absolute monster as the 999cc twin cylinder, fuel injected, 4-stroke pumps out a colassal 107 horse power. You can ride in comfort and tackle anything thrown your way with the new 3-Link Trailing Arm Suspension. The New RZR 1000 has 16" of travel up front and 18" in the rear with 16 position adjustable remote reservoir shocks. The stock 29" Maxxis Bighorn 6 ply tires are the largest factory installed tires to date. To make the new RZR 1000 a perfect fit for everyone Polaris added tilt-steering for those who need legroom and seat adjustment for those who don't. has the Polaris RZR parts you need to keep your UTV running like new.
