While most continue to produce larger machines with more horsepower and more accessories, many are also offering new entry level models at very attractive prices. BRP expands its line of Can-Am ATVs with the new 2015 Outlander L and Outlander L MAX models, and the Outlander 6×6. For 2015, Honda adds the compact two-person Pioneer 500 side-by-side to its lineup that offers a brand-new steel ladder-frame chassis and compact 50-inch width. Overall length is 102.5 inches, and a 73.1-inch wheelbase provides more agile handling and a tight turning radius of only 13 feet. Double-wishbone suspension front and rear, with durable steel A-arms, yields 5.9 inches of travel. The Pioneer 500 combines Honda’s durability, quality, and reliability with an $8,499 suggested retail price. Best known for its extended-range hybrid electric UTVs, HuntVe is now offering the AMP 4×4 all-electric, priced in the $10,000 range, that offers all-new hub motor technology to drive the front wheels. With 38 hp, the entry level all-electric 4×4 can navigate tough terrain. To save energy and increase range, the front hub motors are programmed to disengage and freewheel once the vehicle exceeds 10 to 12 mph. This uses energy from the battery pack only when needed in low-speed driving environments.
The rear motor has reverse function. The AMP’s 48-volt electrical system features a 180-amp hour heavy-duty lead acid battery pack and 600-amp controller. Standard equipment includes a combination rear seat cargo bed that can seat four people, roof top, front grill brush guard, steel differential guard and headlights. The vehicle weighs 1,100 pounds and has a carrying capacity of 800 pounds. The new 2015 Kawasaki Mule PRO-FXT models are faster and more powerful than previous Mule offerings. The new Mule is powered by a fuel injected 812cc three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.The newest Mule also offers an innovative three- to six-passenger cab design that quickly changes to fit cargo or rider capacity. The engine produces 46 foot pounds of torque for pulling heavy loads, with a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. The steel bed in three-passenger mode will haul up to 1,000 pounds and still has a good amount of usable space when in six-passenger mode. Kawasaki also offers optional electronic power steering on Mule PRO-FXT models.

Kubota’s heavy-duty, high performance RTV Series utility vehicles continue to deliver power and durability to tackle the toughest tasks on a variety of terrain, which has made them the best-selling diesel utility vehicles in North America since 2004. Power is transferred via shaft drive with push-button, on-demand 2WD/4WD, transmission and automatic CVT (H-L-N-R-P) with differential lock The front and rear suspensions have an independent dual A-arm set-up with 7.5 inches of travel, 10 inches of clearance, and 8.5-gallon fuel tank. The standard UXV 450i model comes in red or blue; the CAMO model offers the True Timber New Conceal Camo pattern; the TURF model has selectable rear differential with differential lock, and turf tires. For 2015, Polaris offers several all-new products plus numerous refinements of its current lines. RZR launches its biggest lineup ever. Seventy-five percent of RANGER’s lineup received performance upgrades and styling.
There are six new Sportsman ATVs; and the Sportsman ACE line expands with a new 570. There’s a new a two-passenger entry level 31 hp Ranger ETX with electronic fuel injection (EFI) priced from $8,699. Along with new styling, new ergonomics and Lock & Ride PRO-FIT cab accessory integration, the Ranger 570 gets an upgrade to 44 hp, a 10 percent increase, and 20 percent more towing capacity, now at 1,500 pounds. The four-passenger Ranger Crew 570 also gets the updates. New to its premium line of ATVs, are the Sportsman XP 1,000 and Sportsman Touring XP 1,000. Based on the XP chassis, the Sportsman XP 1,000 and Sportsman Touring XP 1,000 offer a smoother ride and improved performance. Also new to the Polaris value line is the Sportsman ETX, the first Sportsman with EFI retailing for under $6,000. The ETX also offers the Sportsman 570 chassis, but with a smaller and lower profile for improved ease of mounting and dismounting, plus improved ergonomics for additional riding comfort.
For 2015, Yamaha has a new extended cab Viking VI side-by-side, with headroom, legroom and shoulder room for six passengers. Similar to the three-seat model introduced last summer, the new Viking VI features Yamaha’s Ultramatic fully automatic transmission, On-Command four-wheel drive system, electric power steering, and Yamaha’s proven 700 cc-class engine. The new Viking can haul 600-pounds and tow 1,500 pounds. There’s intuitive access to dash-mounted controls, an adjustable driver seat, and a full digital display panel with speedometer, odometer, trip meters and fuel level. Yamaha’s Grizzly 700 quad has a powerful 686cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC power plant, with enhanced engine settings to improve low-end, mid-range and top-end performance. For 2015, Suzuki KingQuad 750AXi, KingQuad 400ASi and 400FSi utility-sport ATVs return with improvements that deliver improved power, better fuel economy, and easier cold starting. The 750AXi is equipped with a newly designed twin-spark-plug cylinder head for improved combustion and power feeling.
