We have watched our gentle man snowy learn to trust us and navigate his way through the world and what a wonderful journey it's been 🐾🐾Beagle Rescue Victoria Inc. added 5 new photos.Today marks exactly one year since we introduced our little miracle girl to you all and asked for your generous help to raise the funds we needed to help fix her little heart. Some of you may remember, Corky suffered from Pulmonic Stenosis. A heart condition where one of her major heart valves was narrowed to the point where her heart had to work overtime just to pump blood through her body and oxygen to her lungs. The added pumping of the heart created what we could hear and... feel from the outside as a “Grade 5” Heart Murmur. She was just a baby, about 26 weeks old. With all or supporter's help, we were able to have Dr. Richard Wooley perform the required surgery to allow the blood to flow much freer and to allow corky to live a rich and full life, she gave us all a hell of a scare when her heart stopped beating for a full 15 minutes. t she pulled through because she is a fighter!! So after a long road to recovery, we are extremely pleased to let everyone know that she is indeed living life to the fullest! She has been adopted and has a big beagle brother who she keeps busy all the time, biting his tail and ears, and doing her famous corky howl at him! Her new family say she loves running and running and running. Something she never would have done without the life saving surgery. Here is a bit of an update from her family: "Corky loves tummy scratches, stealing dirty socks and following us around the house. She has learnt many tricks, and more importantly manners and food! She's great around kids and even sneaks into our neighbours yard to play on the trampoline with their children sometimes! She has been on many adventures to different dog parks, beaches and camping weekends. One of her many nick names is "crazy legs" because she loves to run around full speed. She's a little ray of sunshine - always happy, playful and cuddly" We'd like to thank you all for giving our girl the life she deserves. A
