Best Laptop For Mechatronics

Seth has 180+ answers in The Best Laptops for Engineering and Computer Science StudentsYou fall somewhere between ECE and ME, but you probably have the same hardware needs as a Mechanical Engineering student like me.Based on ur need ,basicaly we mechatronics engineer has several simulation softwares so a laptop with 8 gb ram is needed ,i5 or i7 processor is good, then go with 2 gb of grahics card to relax some time with good gamesWhy do engineers require specific laptops? Can't they use cool-looking laptops??A simple $300 laptop is not enough for handling serious engineering works in software like AutoCAD and Catia. Software installation size is huge, processor requirement is swift and the software literally eats the RAM. I love DELL laptops—not only are they powerful and durable but cool and stylish at the same time. But engineers, don't look for cool-looking laptops, go powerful. This page is all about guiding you to get the best DELL laptop ever. Related: 5 Best Gifts for Mechanical Engineers and Students

Portable, in a sense that you can easily take them anywhere, easily and conveniently. However, some serious engineering laptops are not easily portable. Less Display Size = More portable Less Display Size = Less area on the screen. So, how do you deal with this?Get whatever size you like feels comfortable. Don't get something too heavy and bulky because it will only cause you to not carry your laptop. Screen size is not that important, but the screen resolution is. Get at least 1920 x 1080. Anything lower than this is in par with using Windows 98 unless that's what you want to do. My opinion is to get something around 13"-17". Anything less than 13-inch is seriously for cool dudes and not for engineers—your laptop and your work will be a joke.

If you already have a desktop workstation, getting an engineering tablet will also work, though. If you get more than 17" laptop, then your laptop will be huge, bulky and seriously inconvenient. What is the budget for your laptop? $400-$499 $500-699 $700-799 $800-$899 $900-$1000 $1000+See results without voting
