While growing up, my favorite class was P.E. and I played almost every sport that was offered.

After graduating from Benton Central in 2007, I was certain that I wanted to work in a fitness atmosphere and so I continued my education at the University of Indianapolis. Throughout my four years in college, I was a full time student-athlete. I would say my biggest accomplishment was receiving the Academic All-American award for wrestling. I graduated the University of Indianapolis in 2011 with a major in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration.Interests: coaching, training, grilling out, camping, being with family and friends, concerts, sports of all sortsPersonal motivation: setting a goal for myself and being able to surpass it!Greatest part about being a trainer: being able to make a difference in someones life and motivating them to do things they thought they could never do beforeWhat is you definition of exercise?: Being physically active in a way that increases your heart rateFavorite exercise: The sled push!Favorite shoe brand: NikeWhere can we find you when your not working?: With my friends and family, coaching wrestling at Harrison High School, Church, Buffalo Wild WingsReaders Choice award winner for Best Personal Fitness Trainer in 2013

I graduated salutatorian from mccutcheon high school in 2009 and continued on to college at the university of indianapolis. I started by pursing a degree in exercise science with the plan of continuing on for my doctorate in physical therapy. After my freshman year and quite a bit of job shadowing, I decided physical therapy was not for me. I still continued on with my original major and decided that personal training was the way to go, especially after I had gone through a big weight loss transformation just a few years earlier. I am very passionate about helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. I am also very passionate about the aging population, which is why I am going back to the university of indianapolis for my masters of gerontology. I hope that I will be able to better understand and provide more assistance to the aging population as they start/continue their fitness journey. On a more personal note, I am married to my high school sweet heart, eric. We were married in november of 2012 and we have a yellow lab puppy named trigger.

We love to do things outdoors (like camping, fishing, boating, and horseback riding). We love to spend time with our friends and family and we are very involved with our church in dayton. We are adventure seekers, and are always looking for something new to try! Indiana Hoosier born and raised, but Boilermaker at heart! Graduated from Purdue University in 2006 majoring in health and kinesiology with a minor in organizational leadership and supervision. Fitness has always been a part of my life starting with sports and now evolving into staying healthy and fit to enjoy time with my family and get the most out of life that I can! Maintaining my health and fitness as I age, is motivation to keep becoming stronger and pushing to be the best version of myself. Being a mom of two, it is really important for me to be a good role model in teaching them how influential fitness and nutrition are. My son has several food allergies that have really challenged me to rediscover food and open my eyes to what we eat as a family.

(Not that I don't enjoy or indulge in an occasional slice of pizza or red wine!)My favorite type of exercise is high intensity short burst training like HIIT's or TABATA's. You can get in a great workout and your heart pumping in a short amount of time! I enjoy spending time outdoors and cooking, but above all love being with my family and friends as much as possible! I graduated from Butler University in 2010 with an Exercise Science degree. I started personal training my junior year at Butler. After graduation I achieved my certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) certification from the national strength and conditioning association. My favorite type of exercise is to do high intensity interval training (HIIT). It's a great way to get a good workout in, in a little amount of time. When I am not working or getting a workout in myself I like to play golf, hunt, go to concerts, and hang out with my wife and dog.BS in exercise science, certification CSCS I graduated from Summit University in Pennsylvania in 2013 with a degree in Health and Physical Education.

I played sports all through high school and college, so fitness and health has always been a part of my life. It is something that I have developed a love and a passion for, which is why I decided to become a personal trainer. I personally stay motivated by constantly challenging myself with something new and different. I want to be able to better myself each and everyday. This is the approach I take when I am training. I want to help individuals set goals and not only achieve those goals but far exceed whatever they thought possible for themselves. There is nothing more gratifying than conquering what you set before yourself. If I am not in the gym working or working out myself, I am probably at home relaxing, eating something, and watching a sporting event on TV with my wife and dog. I love all things sports. Certifications: Functional Aging Specialist, NASM Personal Trainer I enjoy helping people make changes in their lives that will have a lasting impact. I strive to help others live a healthy lifestyle through exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle education.

I lead by example and am passionate about educating people about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Movement and healthy eating has been an integral part of my life. From gymnastics tumbling to the soccer field to the cross country course, I have always enjoyed exercise and challenging myself to take it to the next level. I played soccer at Indiana Wesleyan University for 2 years before transferring to Purdue where I graduated from in 2012 with a B.S. in Movement and Sport Science. I obtained my ACE personal training certification in undergrad and trained at the Purdue COREC for one year. Upon graduation, I was offered a position at Club NewTone where I improved clients’ fitness levels for 3 years. I was awarded Lafayette’s Best Personal Fitness Trainer in the Reader’s Choice Awards in 2014. During the summers of 2014 and 2015 I traveled to Honduras for mission trips with my church and fell in love with the people, improving my Spanish (which I had minored in for 2 years), and the Hondurans’ love for soccer!

After returning home from the trip in 2015, I felt called and lead to go back to Honduras to live and work. (I had actually planned to move to Arizona and pursue Massage Therapy School so this was quite a change.) For 10 months I lived in El Progreso, Honduras and worked in a Christian bilingual school teaching elementary kids English, P.E., and Bible classes. I returned home in June of 2016 excited and ready to return to personal training. What I love most about training is creating an enjoyable exercise experience for the client which appropriately challenges them, helps them move efficiently and pain free, and then sharing their joy in their successes. I enjoy running and working out, reading, singing, and drinking strong coffee. I graduated from Manchester University in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Sports Science. Right after graduating I moved back home to West Lafayette, Indiana and started training right away at Miracles Fitness. My favorite part about being a trainer is watching your clients evolve, change, and become their best self.
