Although I'm of a protective, guarding breed, I have never been aggre...ssive with my foster family or any of the many strangers I've met on our many walks. Did I tell you I'm house trained? Not crate trained though, I'm afraid to get in. But, I'll emphasize, I'm not destructive and I free roam in my foster home, day and night. Upon first meeting me, you may perceive me as shy or timid, but I tend to warm up to people pretty quickly and want to be their best friend.

I would need for my family to understand my need for space when I first move in. I'll come to you in my time. For the first couple times meeting your friends and guests at home, I will need you to escort them in so that I can check them out and determine that you are okay with them being here. I love everyone I meet on the street. However, due to the unpredictable behavior of small children, I would do best in a home with older children. I am a warm and affectionate companion and would appreciate a home that doesn't mind the Velcro-dog personality. I could be the total love bug your home surely needs, to complete your family. I would love a home with an active family, a large yard with lush green grass and a big shade tree to lay under, on that cool grass. I would love someone to take me on long walks, maybe even some light jogging, and short hikes. I've been told I'm a complete gentleman. I walk well on the leash, and am gentle when taking treats. My favorite treats are cheese cubes and have been known to indulge in the occasional ice cube.

I would love for someone to take time to give me more training. I already know a couple of basic commands like sit, stop, down, up, but come is still needs a little work. I get a little excited off leash, and do zoomies when I am “free.” I’d love for my family to teach me how to play games, like fetch. See, I came from a home with limited exposure to people and places outside the home. I would love a family willing to give me the experiences and adventures of a lifetime. In my perfect home I will be allowed to lounge on the couch or chair, if not, I'm perfectly happy to be by your side on the floor and to sleep at the foot of your bed. You will love me so much you'd want to always be with me to give me lots of pets, belly rubs and chin scratches. I don't like loud noises. Screaming kids, yelling or raised voices scare me into thinking someone is in danger, so I end up growling or barking in protective mode until everything is calm. I love to run free, so, a large yard will come in handy.
