This laid-back older girl is seeking a forever Foster who has a one-story home and the ability to lift her over steps and up on and down off the sofa (and maybe the bed!). came to live with one of our wonder...ful fosters but after a change in their home situation (downsizing move to a condo), we have all found it best to find a great forever foster (or adopter!) for sweet Sami. At an estimated 9 years old, Sami enjoys the simpler things in life – sun bathing on the porch, gearing up for mealtime and enjoying a good nap and snuggle with her people. She’s happy to spend time outside in a sunny spot with supervision. If you want to relax and read on the deck, count Sami in as your companion. She’s quiet, laidback and doesn’t demand much attention. But she does have a few specific but easy-to- meet needs from her forever family. Sami has a neurological-muscular issue that causes her to be a bit wobbly on her hind feet. A daily pill keeps stiffness at bay. But because of this, Sami doesn’t do stairs. She’d like a mostly carpeted, rancher-style home with no steps. If her potential new home has a few steps, her family needs to be prepared to give her a lift and carry her up and down them. At 2

3-pounds, it’s not too difficult a task! Her daily walks are shorter than they used to be – but she is always happy to walk a bit with her human. Sami is excellent with other dogs. She and her fur foster brother get along great! She's also excellent with respectful children. Sami travels incredibly well. During trips she curls up in a bed on the back seat and lounges until you reach your destination. She’s a no frills kind of girl who’s just happy to enjoy the journey. Sami’s foster family has worked with her immensely in helping her deal with thunderstorms. When she first arrived to her foster, thunderstorms terrified her. But with help from her foster people, she’s now just a bit anxious. She does best when you turn up the music and spend time with her during storms. Boston Terriers are highly prone to eye issues, and Sami is no exception. She lost an eye due to glaucoma more than a year ago. Unfortunately these issues can happen quickly, and her eye couldn’t be saved. Sami

has adjusted well to having one eye. She doesn’t mind at all! Sami is looking for someone to spend the rest of her days with – a foster or adopter. She’s a wonderful girl and would make an excellent companion. At 9 years old, Sami has her golden years ahead of her. She’d love to spend quiet evenings on the porch, cuddle up for movies on the sofa (you just have to pick her up!) and travel with you wherever you go. And, if permitted, she will be happy to sleep on the bed with you – but again, you have to lift her up and help her down – no more jumping for this girl! Sami is located in the Raleigh, NC area.
