Our two little girls, Barbie and Josie have had their heartworm treatment delayed because the medication has been backordered. In the meantime Barbie is in a foster home, thank you Champagne family, learning all kinds of new things. She's made leaps and bounds in getting along with other dogs, probably still needs to be with other male dogs however, she is still amazing with children, and we are told she is still leaping after butterflies for all she's worth. Meantime, no one has stepped up to foster Josie, so while barbie is doing well and moving forward, Josie is still at our vet. Please volunteer today to keep Josie for the month or so till her medication arrives. BRNWA family, meet Josephine. Josie is a quiet little soul with a soft personality. There is no way of knowing where life took her before she found her way to us, but we know a few things. Josie was found wandering down a road shortly after the fourth of July with a deep rope burn on her neck and was taken to the Dardenelle animal control office, where she was never reclaimed.

Josie has obviously had puppies in the past, and jud...ging by the marks left on her little body, quite a few puppies. She is uncertain how she feels about human interaction, while she isn't at all aggressive, she shies away from hands a little, either she isn't sure what they're for, she may just not be settled in yet, or hands may have hurt her before. We do know she has a mammary tumor (most likely benign) and is stage two heart worm positive. This is the fourth or fifth heart worm positive dog in a row now, I've honestly lost count, but she could use your prayers, and we could use your donations toward our vet costs. We are going to give Josie a few days to acclimate and then she'll be spayed, her tumor removed, and her treatment begin next week. Thank you all for your love, assistance, and support.
