The guy brought an obese physically unfit female as his helper. She carried one box at a time & then broke some of the items & scratches up others. They relied on my boyfriend to do the part of a 2 man crew & he assisted with all heavy items. They claimed we were out of time during the storage unload even tho they arrived late & took an extended lunch. So I had to pay cash for another hour which would not have been delayed if there were 2 for men doing the job. The male, XXX did work hard but this female friend was worthless as a mover. What would of happened if I did not have my 54 yr old boyfriend here? I would have had to pay for triple time! I think Uhaul should do a much better screening process because next time ~ I will use 2 men & a truck. Moving out is hard but that is why I paid the addl expense to have reliable moving help. Our truck wasn't much better. It had 161000 miles, soft brakes and shook on highway with or without a load. In fact, the Phoenix police followed us for 5 miles probably because it was assumed we would break down.

The gentleman who served me was outstanding and made my experience a good one. Will definitely use this location again! The manager was knowledgable, courtesy and helpful. Very helpful and understanding of our needs. Had a great experience at this location. This store is my fave! Everyone is so helpful, friendly and always are ready to ensure you have the equipment need! The employees take pride in their work. I believe that uhaul should re-evaluate the size of the trucks and what they can accommodate. We were told that the truck we rented would hold a 2 bedroom - home, and it barely held a 1 bedroom, half way through we had to come back and rent a trailer. The truck was obviously damaged/ involved in a collision. The key was an alternate new which created alert codes on the dash (the uhaul person mentioned) and the ride was very ruff due to the damage.

Fast, Friendly, and affordable I'm a 10-year U-Haul employee with plenty of experience with the field, and GM Darryl Jackson is a standout. I walked in to pick up my EL truck, and he was in the middle of a dispute with a customer that quickly escalated when Mr. Jackson informed him that we couldn't accept his pre-paid card due to our "meaningful assurance" guidelines. The customer began yelling, swearing, ordering him to "just run the card!" Mr. Jackson remained calm throughout the 3-4 minutes that this went on, even calling the issuing company to confirm it's status as a prepaid card. The customer finally understood that he wasn't getting our equipment that day and left amidst another eruption of slurs, swearing, yelling, and slamming the door. Darryl Jackson never once yelled back, only insisting that the customer please leave his store and to have a nice day. It was truly a remarkable display of self-control and professionalism, and I went on to have a pleasant-as-could-be rental experience, myself.

Mr. Jackson deserves some reward for his efforts in remaining exceptionally calm and professional, and representing U-Haul company in a situation and in a way that few others would be able to do. Best in customer service. There is nothing that the Uhaul on I17 and Dunlap could do to improve because the staff are awesome, provide excellent service and no surprises. The equipment and trucks are clean too. This location ROCKS and makes moving less of a hassle. Daryl was excellent and attentive! The computers were down and I had a LONG wait, but the Manager of the store was awesome. Once everything was back up and working; he made sure everyone was taken care of and out the door with their rental. I felt so bad that the computer system was running slow. The general manager explained the situation to us and kept a level head. There were about 10 of us waiting at 7am on Saturday July 30 2016. The folks were very understanding and I believe it was because of the general manager.

He was honest, kind, and kept his sense of humor. Good job and Thank you. I've been to this location more than once and have always been treated with respect and kindness. Reservation details weren't clarified. Ended up getting a vehicle that I don't recall asking for, that was more expensive than expected. Got a call the following morning informing me of a late return. Turned out that the location had actually misplaced the truck that was left there the night before. The general manager at this location was friendly and informative. He hooked up my trailer and made sure I knew how to properly use the equipment. When I returned, he helped to back the trailer back into position. I want to say thank you for employing people like him. First time renting on a weekend. Only one person on the computer and one person getting the trucks. Even though I had to wait, the staff was very professional and thanking customers for the patience. I was in and out quickly as possible. I will be back.
