We looked at a shuttle bus from Yarmouth to Halifax (then back when we return) and it costs almost as much for two as a rental car! According to Budget's website they still have a location - looks like it is affiliated with a local car dealership. I saw that on their web site but when I looked under the AARP portion of the site, it wasn't there. SoI called Budget and they denied one existed there any more. The person I talked to was quite unfriendly and said it didn't exist. I gave him the location ID and he said it was closed. Yarmouth is a "small" town you should count your blessings that there is even one company. Super small town with not much in the area... You will just have to go with Enterprise. I have used them and got good service. Right now, only Enterprise is open. When the others see what a booming business Enterprise is doing, I won't be surprised if they reopen. Enterprise has brought in lots of cars, and if you book at least 2 weeks in advance, you won't be disappointed. Lots of my guests at Harbour's Edge B&B are very pleased with their service. After 4 years with out the ferry service, it will take a while for the town to recover, but recover they will. Be patient, Yarmouth is worth your consideration. Does anyone know if Enterprise in Yarmouth allows one-way rentals to Halifax? I just did a "dummy" booking on Enterprise's website, showing a one way rental, and it was allowed, but there was a substantial drop fee.
