Cat Meow Old Salem

Salem Towne House, Old Sturbridge Village, MAIf you can’t make it out to the Worcester Art Museum to stand among hundreds of cat-themed works of art and visit the institution’s interactive cat display, a place to pet a host of furry felines, don’t fret — there’s a webcam for that. The “Meow Cam,” which can be accessed 24-7, is part of the “Cats-in-Residence Program,” a collaborative — wait for it — “purr-formance piece” by artist-curator Rhonda Lieberman. The traveling installation was brought to the Worcester museum this week for “Meow: a Cat-Inspired Exhibition,” a multi-faceted project that takes a look at the role the household pets have played throughout history in both art and pop culture, right up through the Internet age. “Warning: Addictive!” the show’s curators said on Twitter about live-streaming the “inter-species installation.”If watching from afar won’t quell your cat-cravings, visitors to the museum can step inside the cat-filled enclosure and interact with the pets.

There’s a 30-minute visiting period for each person. The exhibit, a mesh enclosure filled with artistic platforms for the cats to climb on and through, is presented in partnership with the Worcester Animal Rescue League, according to the museum. All the cats on display are available for adoption. The Worcester appearance marks the fourth Cats-in-Residence show ever. Fifty-five cats have found homes through the project in other cities.Follow him on Twitter @steveannear. Get Today’s Headlines from the Globe in your inbox:

The home was very welcoming and the host was easy to contact with ahh any questions I had. Would defiantly go back. on May 22, 2016 It's a nice cabin away from town and private. If you want the traditional bed and breakfast, this is not it. Instead you get a $14 coupon that covers some of the cost for one of two restaurants in town. Never saw the owners. No shampoo in the bath. Decorations are "antiques" but not of great quality. The place is in a pretty area and relaxing but we don't intend to return. Lots of reviewers love this place, but we think it's a bit overrated. on April 27, 2016 Great location just the right distance from town. There is no onsite dining but voucher for breakfast which isn't enough for two people but all the places in town to eat are great! A perfect setting for a romantic getaway on April 12, 2016 We had a wonderful stay at the Cat's Meow Bed and Breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is ideal - far enough from town to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, but close enough to get to the restaurants and stores.

We sat out in the gazebo both evenings enjoying a glass of wine, watching the sun set and listening to the birds. We would stay here again. on March 02, 2016 We had a great time in the Catseye cabin. The cabin's layout was great, with a huge comfy bed, lots of pillows, and that big garden tub. The gas fireplace separates the small living room and kitchen from the bedroom/bath. Pauline and Hunter have a done a great job with the lighting and antiques that decorate the place. They provided two vouchers for a pair of restaurants in town for breakfast, but we loved the Old German Bakery and Restaurant so much we ate there both days. We had a great time, and plan on visiting again in the future. If you want a nice, relaxing, private cabin, this is the place to come. (I rated onsite dining a 'met expectations' because dining was offsite unless we wanted to cook ourselves - this is how we liked it!) on February 24, 2016 This is the go-to place for us when we go to Fredricksburg.

I almost want to give it a bad review just to keep it a secret! It's a few miles away from the crazy that is the main strip there, so its far more peaceful, you feel like you're able to get away from the crowds and be secluded. As far as the place itself, it's exactly what we need to get away. The cabins have plenty of space, the decor is great, comfy bed, and the TUB!! (Lots of lighting options...) We love the atmosphere, the isolation- everything about this place. For food, five stars- but needs to be explained. There is a voucher for the "Old German Bakery and Restaurant" - which may put you off, having to go somewhere to eat, but you're going to be in town anyway- you can get a better spot! And as far as breakfast goes, I'd venture it's as good or better than anything a b&b would cook up. The voucher actually ADDS value to the stay. We will be back, and don't even have to look elsewhere- this is the place to stay for sure. on February 03, 2016 We stayed 2 days at the Catseye cabin.

From the time we walked in the door the atmosphere was set! The soft music was playing and the décor said RELAX and took us back to times gone by. The cabin was actually larger than we expected with it having a full kitchen. Lighting is abundant and varied, even in the ceiling trim. Love the copper tin ceilings! Jacuzzi worked wonderfully and was clean, plenty of soft towels and the fireplace that you can view from both sitting room and bedroom/tub is wonderful! Loved the rocking chairs on the porch and the kitty and dog that visited us. There is also a common space cabana where you can sit out and relax, even though it is shared by 3 cabins none of the cabins or cabana are too close to interfere with your privacy. Only suggestions would be to have some Kneipp bath products since they are German and are pure luxury and a few quality coffee/teas/creamers or goodies. But the breakfast vouchers help make up for that. Would definitely stay again, just can't decide which cabin! on January 25, 2016

No matter what you're celebrating, the Cat's Meow B&B (catseye cabin) is worth all the time spent there. The unique attention to details and privacy offered at your cabin provide a one of a kind, totally emersive experience in the Texas hill country. We enjoyed everything from sitting in front of the double sided fireplace in our whirlpool tub for two, to the handpicked breakfast goodies every morning. The decor of the cabin fit perfectly into the unique little German town of Fredericksburg only minutes away, yet far enough that you felt secluded and quiet. We plan on sending any friends that wish for a unique and romantic experience to the Cat's Meow. on January 07, 2016 We stayed two night at the Catnip cabin., and really enjoyed our stay. It's cozy and romantic. We will be returning! And Hunter is onee of the nicest gentleman you will ever meet. Cat's Meow is Awesome! on January 03, 2016 This was our first time to Cat's Meow and we were so impressed! Awesome place to stay.
