This handsome, well-bred Doberman is the most people loving dog you will find. He is positive, he’s a lap dog, and his vet calls him “an 88 lb love muffin”. His foster Mom is crazy about him, knows him well, and will be specific about the right match for River. While he is utterly charming, he is only 1 1/2 years old and behaves like a very large puppy.

He has been an outside dog prior to coming into his foster home, and so hasn’t had much training. River is used to a lot of exercise and has a high energy level. He is incompatible with any other dogs, River loves his people too much and isn’t willing to share them. The right home will have no other dogs, and will not allow River to interact with other dogs. His former home had another dog, and River needs to be the only dog. He isn’t a guy who will be happy being away from his people very much—he is sad when he is away from humans. River is a kissing machine. He also likes to have his stunning face held in your hands and stands quietly while you give him kisses on his long nose. While he wasn’t officially house-trained as a puppy, he has not had any accidents in his foster home. He has learned to “kennel up” and waits for his release word before leaving his crate. Before going outside, he makes eye contact, and waits for his release word. Other than when he sees something irresistible, River walks well on leash.

He is highly intelligent and learning life skills very quickly. River is friendly with men, women, and kids, although is likely too rambunctious for small children and could accidentally knock them down. If you want a true loyal and best friend, and are looking for a very special bond, you have found your dog. Neutered and up to date on shots. Rolo is a German Shepherd/Lab mix, born on November 2, 2012. He is a very friendly dog, good with other dogs, has been doing well around children but is very playful so he may be too big and boisterous for smaller children and might knock them down. Rolo learns things very quickly. If someone took the time to train him, he would do whatever you asked him to do. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on his shots. Sammie is a female Pitbull mix, born July 1, 2014. She is a very loving girl. Sammie is calm and laid-back for the most part.
