Like every other RSPCA branch in England and Wales, the Stourbridge and District Branch is a separately registered branch of the RSPCA and we are primarily responsible for raising funds locally. This means that most of the money we spend on rescue cats, dogs and other small animals within the Stourbridge area, must be raised by us in the Stourbridge area. The Branch is run by a committee of trustee's who oversee the branch activities. There are no paid members of staff within the branch; everyone works on a voluntary basis. Our volunteers are the backbone of the branch and without them, the branch could not function.

Because we do not have an animal rescue centre at Stourbridge, all of our cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs are in foster care. We rely 100% on our volunteer fosterers to look after our animals until they get a new home.

We always have dogs and cats looking for loving new homes. Come and visit us, we'd love to see you. We first opened in 1986 and our modern facilities have space for approximately 24 dogs and 24 cats, plus purpose-built puppy and kitten facilities. If you are looking for a pet please read about the rehoming process and view our pets looking for new homes. We also have a pet care clinic for people who can’t afford private veterinary fees in the B60, B61 and B97 postcode areas. Please call the centre for more information. Our Home Direct Scheme is for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets whose owners can sadly no longer keep them but don’t need to find them a new home straight away.

Pets stay in their existing home until a new owner is found for them. All pets go through our careful assessment and matching process. ...uk every time you shop online.|Iris's Cats In NeedPosted by Iris's Cats In NeedBefore we start posting our cats this afternoon who are ready for adoption we would like to introduce a brother and sister who are very special. Approximately five weeks old they sadly lost their sibling but these two although very flat and poorly when they came in, are doing remarkably well. Our vets initial diagnosis is our little girl is completely blind and her brother is blind in one eye. We are looking for two extra special names and would like your thoughts on this. Our nameless girl uses her brother as a guide and he seems to know this! We have never met two small babies with as much personality as these two! So pop your thinking caps on for our special two!! Photos may be upsetting to some readers....Posted by Iris's Cats In Need added 2 new photos. We are still working hard trapping and neutering the back yard cats and kittens , which will no doubt take us into winter ! This little lady is KRYSTAL , caught the other day, I believe she deserves a chance of a forever home, she has shown no aggression and will let me hold her pick her up and stroke her , but extremely nervous.

She is around 4 months of age and would need an EXPERIENCED owner, to be around other cats, no young children and a quiet home. she will need time to settle and adjust to a new life. We believe this may be Dobby's sibling and he has come on leaps and bounds in his forever home so I am confident Krystal will follow suit given the time she needs. Please Laura on 07511280170 * reserve only at the moment due to being spayed next week and current treatment for her eyes *Iris's Cats In Need added 2 new photos.VIOLET & SAXON (managed to get a photos ! ) are two 12 week old kittens , brother and sister still waiting for a forever home. Our lovely old boy MAX sadly passed away. The nurses and vets at Rogers Brock & Barker gave him a wonderful final week and despite their best efforts his renal failure was too far progressed to treat even though they tirelessly tried. We are so sad we didn't get to him sooner and maybe things would be different for him. Sweet dreams Max and happier times at rainbow bridge Iris's Cats In Need added 2 new photos.****UPDATE!!!!We are desperately trying to make contact with his listed numbers.

Area is ST6 **** URGENT*** does anybody recognise this ol...der neutered male cat? He was found in the garden of a lady in Abbots road Abbey Hulton this evening and we have had him admitted to our emergency vets. He was infested in maggots and thousands of fly eggs- if this lady had not got help the cat would have been eaten alive. The vets have clipped away all the maggots and bathed him to remove the fly eggs as best as they can. Surely someone must be missing this poor boy! he has been neutered.
