Th

is event takes place on Friday, September 18th and will occur in ...the heart of downtown on 49C Avenue between the Flat Iron Building and the Bank of Montreal. It is shaping up to be a very exciting, one-time event. CMT will be in town interviewing and filming for a broadcast across Canada, and Lacombe will receive coverage for the days leading up to and including the event like never before. To facilitate the set up, hosting and subsequent take down of the event, 49C Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic from September 15th to 19th. The avenue will largely remain open to pedestrian traffic throughout the process, with access limited to Avenue business owners and residents after 3pm on the Friday. The two parking lots at the east end of 49C Avenue will be closed to the public so that the stage, television and sound equipment can be driven into place, unloaded and set up for the concert. We understand that this will limit access to parking on City owned property, particularly for the two previously mentioned parking lots, as well as the parking lot to the east of The Bank of Montreal which will be used on the 18th to provide food service for the event. To

assist you in finding alternate parking during this time, we have included a map of additional parking areas within the downtown core. We trust that you will understand the impact on parking will be limited as much as possible, while the benefit and exposure for the community of Lacombe will certainly be significant. We are proud to have been chosen to host this incredible event in Lacombe, and look forward to showcasing our beautiful community to the rest of the country.
