He adores other dogs and before he was surrendered to DREAM, grew up with a fur sister. Apollo is certainly an inside dog, but he loves the great outdoors. Walking and playing in the yard are two of his favourite activities. He knows that good boys go potty outside, and happily complies. Apollo is going to the dentist at the end of August to get his pearly whites looking their best.

Not only that, but Apollo knows that dental hygiene isn’t only for looks, it’s for health. His foster mama calls him “precious, precious, precious” and thinks that he makes quite an ambassador for not only dachshunds but rescue dogs everywhere. He’s quite the rockstar on his walks and eager to meet new friends, but furry and non. At 7 years old, Apollo is securely middle aged for a dachshund. Applications can be completed here. Or the connection of feeling loved and cuddled. Or the joy of having stuffy toys and balls thrown for him. But, Kane is resilient. As you can see, he now knows all of these things, and more. He is house trained and doesn’t need a crate. He loves his canine buddies and they give him strength and help with creating his new normal- he trusts them, and would do best in a home with furry friends. Kane is the most gentle little soul without a hint of malice within him. At only 8 years old, he’s a true treasure of a dog. The soul inside of this one will melt your heart. He deserves love + love + love. Do you have some to give?   So, you see this face, right? And how unbelievably SWEET it is? Well, that is nothing compared to how gorgeous this little girl is inside. Crystal came to DREAM from a local shelter where the staff had completely fallen in love with her. We think she’s around 9, although a lady never tells. When Crystal arrived, it was clear that she had not had access to basic vet care.

DREAM had her spayed, and had some benign growths removed from her stomach (not uncommon in dachshunds). We also found that she was heartworm positive, so that is being treated as we speak. Do you think any of this brings this sweetpea down in the least? She is friendly-  so friendly to all, loves riding in the car and traveling, rings a bell to go potty outside, and has even won over the cat to her side.
