I drove to the uhaul location I first wanted to use and stopped inside and had them check it out for me and also give me instructions . I am very very unhappy. That location was good enough to give me verbal instructions and check my hook up. I am unhappy that my location was changed to H&B discount location.Some one from uhaul needs to rent a car hauler and see how they are treated.... at Hb Tires. The representative from H & B Tire was very pleasant to do business with. I will do business here the next time I need to rent a truck. We were told to drop the truck on Sat and use the key drop box. This location has a locked gate when closed. They do have a drop box on the fence but NO INFO on where to leave the truck. Called Uhall, first person said it is not uncommon to leave on the street. Explained it was a 4 lane state hwy, not an option. Then placed on hold. We hung up, parked the truck in the entry of the business and pulled it as close to the gate as possible to be off the highway at the rear.

I later drove to the H&B Tire location to verify the truck was there and get a receipt. The same woman who called me was there and said " oh, you could have called, it was moved to out back and I didn't know it was there." Again, bad customer service. The people at H&B Discount Tires were very friendly and helpful. I did not use this pick up location. I was a little frustrated with our U-Haul rental experience. When I made the reservation I was under the impression we would be contacted to set up a location for pick up and times we needed the truck. We were not contacted at all and when I called the evening before the truck we wanted wasn't available and wouldn't be available until the following evening.

I explained to the woman I spoke with that we needed the truck early Friday morning because that was the day we were scheduled to move out. She said the only truck available was a 26 foot truck but that we could pick it up Thursday evening. The next morning we received a call asking when we would be returning the truck because it was previously reserved by a customer who needed it by 3:30. We explained to the woman that we were not aware of that when we picked up the track and that there was no way we would be able to return it by then. That we would be able to bring it back between 5:30 and 6:00. At exactly 5:30 we received another call asking where we were with the truck. The woman was very rude each time she called and added more stress and more pressure on the move. When we returned the truck we went to apologize to the customer who was waiting for the truck and he wasn't even upset. He said as long as he got the truck that night he was not worried. So we were frantic all day and were treated poorly for no reason.

I thought I could save some time by renting from this location instead of the main rental center across town. First mistake was not making an online reservation. The only knowledgeable employee was busy with the main business so that was the first delay. Their internet connection was sporadic which made the rental process very slow. The dolly was in good shape and after 45 minutes I was on my way. Next time I'll just go to the main store. Over all job well done....
