Nostra Homes presents The Stamford by Bec and GeorgeKids Under Cover has raised $49,700, thanks to their Cubby House Challenge, for youth homelessness at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show this weekend. National marketing and fundraising manager for Kids Under Cover, Lucy McMorron said, being the official charity of The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show has “increased their profile”, with the large numbers that it attracts. The Cubby House Challenge brings together members of the building industry to design, build and decorate children’s cubby houses for raffle and auction. Ms McMorron said, the Cubby House Challenge is an “innovative way to raise funds” for Kids Under Cover to combat youth homelessness. Director of corporate and design services at Smith Madden, Lee Davy said they got involved with the Cubby House Challenge through a colleague in Brisbane, “the designers saw the idea and loved it”.

Smith Madden have taken up the challenge this year with a Hobbit and fairytale inspired cubby, Storybook Hollow.
