Westwood Labradoodles, Goldendoodle and North American Retrievers is located in Central Ohio, but puppies born here live all over the world! Our dogs have lived in Japan, Sweden, and Canada, in addition to the US. We specialize in mini and medium Doodles, and our puppies are allergy-friendly advanced generation Doodles. Our Labradoodles hail from both American Labradoodle lines and Rutland Manor and Tegan Park Australian Labradoodle lines. We worked with top Goldendoodle breeders in creating our mini and medium Goldendoodles.  The cream of the crop of our Labradoodle and Goldendoodle lines were crossed to create the next logical hybrid...the Double Doodle or North American Retriever. Westwood Labradoodles and Goldendoodles was a pioneers of these hybrids called Double Doodles, or North American Retrievers. In fact, Helene Roussi, coined the name 'North American Retriever' for the hybrid, defined as a dog that contains Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, and Poodle (and ONLY these three breeds) in its pedigree. 

We produced the second litter of Double Doodles ever...Lincoln Manor Labradoodles beat us by a couple weeks in 2006. In addition, to producing outstanding family pets, we are very proud that 13 of the puppies bred at Westwood have been trained and placed as service dogs, and numerous others are trained as therapy dogs.  Because our puppies are advanced generation Doodles, upwards of 90% are non/low-shed and allergy-friendly.We raise our puppies underfoot in our Midwestern Ohio home. We don't have kennels, because, aside from 'our' dogs, Marley and Callie, our breeding dogs live as pets in guardian homes. So all our dogs are first and foremost our family pets, and we want to share these wonderful dogs with others. We pride ourselves on breeding healthy, temperamentally-sound family companions. Goldendoodles have the same low to non shedding coats as the Labradoodles but have a slightly longer coat length. They have the same great characteristics as the labradoodle and are just as smart, loving and family friendly. Double Doodles are the awesome mix of both doodles!We have now been raising puppies for well over 20 years and Doodle puppies are just the best.
