Epl Vacuum Cleaners

ESPN is currently doing an extended live hit from the MLS All-Star game venue. I’ll probably watch the game tonight! But man, there’s not much going on. With the Olympics coming up, though, it’s compressed the calendar a bit, forcing the PGA Championship to this weekend. And, yeah, football training camp coming up, I guess? Real football/MLB stretch drive/European soccer leagues all start soon. We’ve almost done it. In the meantime, try to enjoy the weather, I guess. (Note: I’m the world’s worst optimist.) Everyone’s fourth favorite major, the PGA Championship starts today from Baltusrol in New Jersey. Yesterday, someone (ahem) foolishly tried to pick thirty players from which the champion will emerge. That’s hard to predict! Hopefully I don’t end up looking too bad. It’s especially difficult at the PGA, because you can’t just pick the favorites and assume the best: Average world rank of last 7 winners of each major: Masters: 11.9US Open: 14.3The Open: 35.6#PGAChampionship: 37.3

— Justin Ray (@JustinRayGC) July 27, 2016 That said, it should be a fascinating tournament. Unfortunately, with coverage on Turner for the first two rounds, coverage runs from 1-7 PM Eastern on TNT. Now, obviously it’s fun having Ernie Johnson cover golf, and he did a cool interview at Awful Announcing for the occasion.

House For Sale In Sepang PutraIf you’re reading this, in fact, the tournament has begun. And yet TNT decided to go with some, well, alternate programming: balls in the air at 7am on Thurs for the PGA. I count 2 episodes of Charmed and 4 episodes of Supernatural before broadcast is live on TNT

— Brendan Porath (@BrendanPorath) July 25, 2016 Golf fans have never been served well. All they want is to watch players hit golf shots, and see as many of them as possible. What most golf coverage seems to provide is limited coverage windows (there are exceptions), and as many featurettes as possible. It’s not a fun dichotomy. CBS has the weekend coverage, and they’re normally a culprit as well. It’s still major championship golf! (Calm down, everyone, calm down, no need to be so excited.) NBC, demonstrating more hubris than normal for a broadcast television network (which is certainly saying something), wants the Opening Ceremony to move the introduction of the United States to the end of the line. See, in Portuguese, the country begins with an “e”. NBC is concerned that will lead to people changing the channel after they see the USA’s coordinated entrance.Do everything by English country names instead. Yeah, that makes sense. Actually, having said all I did above complaining about golf coverage, I take it back.

It could be worse. It could be NBC Olympic coverage, which would be a tape-delayed one hour package of golf in primetime, edited as heavily as possible and only focusing on Americans and the winner, and openly pulling for those two things to be the same. Frankly, I’m surprised that wasn’t what they did with the British Open. -As pictured, the Tigers play high-stakes rock, paper, scissors. -Warren Sapp was bitten by a shark in Florida. I could make many jokes here. I will choose not to.Remember that super-emotive kid who stuck it out for an entire 18-inning Pirates game? Well, the Pirates do, and he got to come hang out with the team. -We haven’t done a whole lot on the election, but whenever people are planning a “fart-in” protest, you can bet we’ll be all over it. (Yes, it’s a thing, somehow.) -Here’s a guy having a worse day than you will have: -News from the NFL quarterback carousel! (The most depressing carousel there is. I like to imagine Jeff George is the carnie in charge.)

The Rams released Nick Foles, which may or may not have had anything to do with Ryan Fitzpatrick finally agreeing to a return deal with the Jets shortly thereafter. -LA Galaxy star and Irish legend Robbie Keane was rescued by a motorist after running out of gas on the freeway. I’m surprised British and Irish players don’t have this happen more often, as the trips here cover so much more distance than they’re likely used to preparing for. -WWE won’t be punishing Brock Lesnar for failed drug tests related to his fight at UFC 200, which makes sense. They have their own testing program, and given that their competition isn’t, you know, real, it makes sense the standards would be different. And also they don’t want to make Brock mad. I don’t blame them, from the standpoint of both business and personal safety. -Aaron Rodgers isn’t talking about his brother’s escapades on The Bachelor, or indeed on their relationship at all. -Remember the Ice Bucket Challenge?

Turns out it helped fund research that led to a real breakthrough in ALS research. -In creepier news, that’s a picture from a security camera that captured an intruder watching a couple sleeping for fifteen minutes. Maybe he just really loves Mr. Robot? I wouldn’t blame him. (The breaking and entering and generally horrifying behavior, though, yes, I blame him for that.) -England’s Football Association might make long-discussed changes to the EPL calendar, as well as a few other changes. -Yasiel Puig has done some silly things in his career. But wearing these freaking sweet Vin Scully cleats isn’t one of them. Sadly, MLB has promised to fine him if he keeps wearing them.I can’t beat the “Fart-in” story.
