Reading Walmart Supercenter 5900 Perkiomen Ave Reading, PA 19606 (610) 582-0505 Get directionsZebco, a well-known name in the fishing industry, produces a complete line of spincast fishing reels. The spincast reel is similar to spinning reels, except that the spool of the reel is completely enclosed under the front cover.

The fishing line passes through a hole in the cover and attaches to a spool underneath. As the angler cranks the reel, a spinner head within the reel grabs the fishing line and winds it onto the spool. Putting line on a Zebco reel is relatively simple and takes only a few minutes to accomplish. Turn the front cover of the Zebco reel counterclockwise to unscrew and remove it from the reel. Place the spool of fishing line on the floor in front of you so that the line comes off the spool in the same direction it winds onto the reel. Thread the end of the fishing line downward through the guides on the fishing rod. Thread the fishing line through the hole in the end of the front cover. Press the "line release" button on the back of the reel to set the spinner head inside the reel in the up position. Loop the fishing line around the spool under the spinner head. Tie an overhand knot in the end of the line around the main portion of the line to form a large slip knot.

Tie another overhand knot in the end of the line. Tighten both of these knots. Replace the front cover of the Zebco reel by turning it clockwise to screw it back in place. Place your index finger around the rod and the fishing line just below the largest guide to put tension on the line. Crank the reel handle to engage the line catch mechanism and begin winding line onto the reel. Continue winding line until the reel spool is approximately 3/4 full of fishing line. Cut the line at the line spool and tie on your choice of tackle.GET MORE LAKE INFO FISHING REPORT DISPLAY OPTIONS You are correct-I have been using Wi. wonderful outdoors for over 50 yrs.People are MUCH less considerate than they used to be.Now it seems the attitude is all about "me,me me" and to hell with everyone else! This is not just outdoors but every where,it seems it is the generational thing. Not saying that all "younger" people are bad.but it does seem that a LARGE portion of them are.Sad commentary on our future!

REPORT AS ABUSE Post Your CommentTo many people on area lakes are keeping everything they catch. I have been fishing the lakes around Fox for over 45 years.

Houses For Sale Orono OntarioI have a 2 year old 150hp deep V that doesn't see a lot of use for the reasons detailed in this thread. Between stereos on wakeboarder boats, waverunners, slob fisherman who pull in right next to you, and dumba$$es who drive by too close and rock your boat like you were on Lake Michigan in 4' swells, fishing on about any area lake you can launch a boat like mine is a lot less fun than it was 20 years ago.

(not to mention the dock idiots)Fish a lot in my canoe and jon boat these days, and enjoy it a lot more than the circus. Tight lines and R.I.P. sport fishing. yes last week or two. Nothing to crazy tho bass, pike, few walleye. Did the waters and woods episode on fox lake air already? Anyone else having problems with other boaters traveling fast real close while fishing? LunkerMaster well said, I have tried to explain this to others but cannot seem to get through to them. You have intelligently described the situation on Fox and many lakes. I hope people take the time to read your statement. I just can not believe how people are today, the other day I could have rested my feet on the boat next to us they anchored so close. I really enjoyed watching Gillespie catching illegal fish and calling them eaters. The weed growth is great. Might slow some our "sportsman" down from keeping multiple limits per day and keeping those illegal keepers. This lake deserves a rest.

It has been overfished for years by idiots just like your hero "slobbo". "They are all eaters"Gillespie. His dad, who was a great sportsman and broadcaster, must be turning over in his grave to tell his son to "kiss his behind". This lake can be great again if it is not overfished and you do not keep those short "eaters". "Rest in peace Earl" Paddled through the government and jug in my kayak yesterday. Really enjoyed the day and pretty scenery. I fished the main lake after in 18 fow and boated a nice pike on a crank. All in all a great day even with 1 fish caught. Just wanted to chime in on the "weed problem" talk. What people seem to not understand is weeds equal fish habitat. Many lakes I know of near me have weed cutters out all summer and weeds have been poisened on these lakes for years. These lakes are trash for fishing now. Fox lake could take the beating it did for years because of excellent fish habitat. It has been over harvested but with excellent fish habitat still here the fish will rebound in a few years.
