We breed select rare French bulldogs for a couple reasons. Outside of the wonderful family oriented temperament & cute bully look our French bulldogs are tremendously smaller than even the smallest mini English Bulldogs. For example 28 lbs is LARGE for one of our Frenchies. Our French bulldogs are also healthier & lower maintenance than English bulldogs in general but still posses that amazing one of a kind personable clown bulldog personality that always makes you smile. We work for our Frenchies to be smaller, healthier & more unique in appearance than typical Frenchies. French bulldog originated in the 19th Century Nottingham, England Lace makers selectively bred the early French bulldog (Frenchie) for a downsized or "toy" English bulldog, for use as a lap pet. Revolution displaced some lacemakers to France, they took the dogs with them, and soon the "toy" bulldogs became popular

in France, where wealthy Americans doing the Grand Tour saw and fell in love with theIn the late 1800s these "toy bulldogs" became known as French Bulldogs! French bulldogs are often described as "a clown in the cloak of a philosopher." The French Bulldog originated as a companion dog, and continues to be used as a companion dog. The biggest pros we have found to a French bulldog over the mini English bulldog is that they are much easier to take places, travel with and maintain because of the smaller size & much improved breathing. Shrinkabull French bulldogs have a very sweet loving temperament & generally they get along with everyone! Frenchie puppies are hand raised from birth & socialized with children and other animals for the best possible personalities.
