She has arthritis and receives medication. “This is her home, she knows our voices, loves having her tummy rubbed and her back scratched. “If she doesn’t know you she’ll go off into her enclosure because she’s nervous. “She loves the staff here and feels comfortable around them.” Gaby said: “Lucy has very bad behavioural problems and she’s a proper madam. “We’ve tried to re-home her three times but people just can’t deal with her so she keeps coming back. “She fits in well here at the sanctuary and is well looked after. “Unfortunately she is not a lap cat and so we’d struggle to re-home her.” Gaby said: “Our three new pigs Ruby, Rosy and Rebecca nearly starved to death because their owner had died and they were left undiscovered for months. “
