Our goal is to help neglected, abandoned, and abused great danes find their forever homes while educating the public. We believe that every animal deserves a forever family to love them unconditionally for the rest of their lives. We are a small start up group with many years of experience with great danes and rescue. Our collective experience with Dane rescue will allow us to continue our desire to make an impact on the lives of the great danes we can take in and help. Currently, we accept surrenders from families and shelters and adopt to forever homes in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. With the help of our supporters, we hope to eventually grow our group, spread our message, and rescue great danes.
FFGDR specializes in great danes. We accept great danes of all ages and from all types of situations. We are not a shelter, our dogs live in foster homes as part of a family until their medical and emotional needs have been met and they are ready for their forever homes.Divine Acres Great Danes GREAT DANE CLUB OF AMERICA BREEDER OF THE YEAR FOR 2013 We are proud to be an AKC Breeder of Merit Breeders of BISS, Top Twenty, Grand, Group, Westminster, Sweeps, HIT, HR and ROM American and Canadian Fawn & Brindle Champion Great Danes We are Breeder of the Year for the GDCA for 2013, and Breeder of the Year for the GCDM for 2009 and 2013! What can we say, we love pizza, salad, craft beer, the lakes in Madison, a good bike path, and dogs, among other things. That list is in no particular order, but dogs are probably close to the top. A big part of the culture here at Ian's is being involved in the local community, and trying to give back to our community whenever possible. So when we started making our own Puppy Chow (yes, it's called Puppy Chow but it's human food) we reached out to the Dane County Humane Society to see how we could lend a hand! What we came up with was an amazing program to try to help out some amazing animals in need of forever homes. Each month we receive the name and information of a puppy in need of adoption from the Dane County Humane Society's animal shelter. We display this information near our Puppy Chow in-store and for every bag of Puppy Chow that is purchased that month, we donate a portion of those sales to helping find that dog a home. Through this great program we've proudly helped numerous Dane County  dogs find the loving homes they deserve.
or stop by their main shelter at 5132 Voges Road. We're happy to have such a great partner in the Madison area who does so much for these great future pets. August Puppy of the Month! Herbie might be a little guy – but he is all heart and he has a great zest for the fun things in life, all in a small package. Herbie is an affectionate guy looking for a new place to call home, in the Madison area. He hails from Alabama, as he had arrived to Dane County Humane Society during last month to find his luck here. Herbie is an athletic guy. He likes to keep busy! Idleness is not for him! His favorite things include playing fetch and going on walks.Herbie walks very nicely on leash, except when he catches sight of things he might want to chase. As he aims to please, training him would be a cinch, and thus you can train him to pay attention to you on walks. If you are an active person, or maybe you are active and you just don’t know it yet, Herbie is the dog for you! Herbie will have you embarking on fun and active things in no time at all!
