Ritornerò sicuramente.paese merita molto di più di una visita anche se la mia non è stata la prima volta. Cena di sabato sera. seppur bravo e volenteroso non poteva farcela da solo. Tre sale da gestire. non avevano nessuno a cui fare riferimento, lui correva da un tavolo ad un altro, ma non poteva fermarsi piu di 30 secondi... i primi veramente pessimi, in particolar modo i spaghetti alla gricia, pieni di acqua e pepe, veramente... Per riassaporare, accanto al rinomato prosciutto e alla carne di eccellente qualità, i piatti della tradizione in un ambiente accogliente e suggestivo nel cuore del Medioevo bassianese

Alcuni amici mi hanno consigliato questo ristorantino dentro le mura di Bassiano posto piccolo ma accogliente credo sia meglio prenotare... però ne vale davvero la pena... ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ristorante ubicato nelle mura di Bassiano, molto carino ed accogliente. La cucina casalinga è sicuramente degna di nota. Siamo stati serviti da un ragazzo gentile, disponibile e, sopratutto, educato!. Non do 5 stelle per un piccolo disguido dovuto forse ad una defaiance, mi auguro momentanea, della cucina: due primi uguali serviti a distanza di circa 10 minuti l'uno dall'altro e... Un locale piccolo ma carino,intimo,per niente rumoroso. Antipasti con prosciutto di Bassiano giganteschi, e degni di nota,primi tipici del luogo,un pregio alla carne,ottima,a mt 0! Difronte il locale è sita la macelleria di loro proprietà,la carne sempre freschissima. Ci torniamo sempre volentieri. Facevamo un giro a bassiano verso l'ora di pranzo, così siamo entrati in questa osteria per mangiare qualcosa.

Davvero carina al suo interno, tutta molto caratteristica e rustica, interamente di pietra. Abbiamo preso un antipasto misto con salumi e formaggi e due primi, strozzapreti al ragù di salsicchia e paccheri gratinati al forno con besciamella. Una bottiglia di vino della... un'osteria inserita all'interno delle mura medievali del paese, strutturato su 2 piano ha l'accesso sia lungo le mura che nel centro storico, consigliatissima la pasta fatta in casa ed il filetto Visitina domenicale nelle zone di Sermoneta, Norma e Bassiano. In pratica un assaggio dei monti Lepini prima che arrivi la primavera. Effettuata anche una visita all'abbazia di Valvisciolo. Per pranzo decidiamo di mangiare a Bassiano, anche perchè consci del rinomato prosciutto di quella zona. Arriviamo alla piazzetta principale dove parcheggiamo, e iniziamo a cercare e scegliere. Siamo stati in questo locale con due bambini e 4 adulti. Locale molto pulito, ottimo l'antipasto della casa con varie portate squisite.

Come primi consiglio la pasta con i ceci. Tra i secondi buonissima la grigliata mista, soprattutto il capocollo. True, I had to share the thinking woman’s TV gardener with a number of others, but I’m convinced his attention was focused solely on me.The occasion was a visit to three outstanding gardens outside Rome — Ninfa, Villa d’Este and Landriana — with Don as an added inducement for the tour of Ninfa, after which he was to give a talk on the evolution of Italian gardens.Rather like a gentleman’s club, Ninfa satisfies one’s inner snob.

The 8ha garden, within 105ha of parkland 65km southeast of Rome, is open to the public for a handful of days each year. Thereafter visits are restricted to groups who book well in advance.Once inside the gardens, the official guide is god, and the route is fixed.So what makes Ninfa worth the effort, even when the garden is not, Don assures me, at its best? Well, even though the celebrated roses have been and gone, and the one herbaceous border is nothing really spectacular, the structure of Ninfa stops the breath and has rightly won it the title of “most romantic garden in the world”.The garden as we know it was created in 1921, but there has been an outpost at Ninfa since Roman times. The settlement had its share of disasters (its inhabitants succumbed to malaria in the 17th century), but in its heyday in the 12th century Ninfa had 150 houses, seven churches, a castle, a town hall, and several mills and bridges. Their ruins provide an incomparable structure.Once inside, we are divided into two groups.
