A room in the greenhouse belongs to the club and is used as a resource to help students learn propagation, greenhouse management, watering techniques, repotting, and also holds inventory for various plant sales.  Educational trips and social events are also planned for club members.
Two plant sales are held during the year in which members actively participate in every aspect of production, from planting to sale. Spring Bedding Plant Sale (the week before finals week) We try to plan trips throughout the year to places in the region we think will provide a unique learning experience for the members. Past trips have included Powell Gardens in Kansas City, MO, Como Park Zoo and Observatory, Oregon and California. Twice a year we celebrate our seniors by taking them out to dinner at the restaurant of their choice. We take small trips to the NDSU Dale E. Herman Research Arboretum, local businesses and plan fun events like wreath making, Thunder Road and bowling. Each year the club awards two $300 scholarships to active club members with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, one to a horticulture major and one to a non-horticulture major.
