The announcement was made at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, the birthplace of the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League. The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League was founded in 1993 by NHRA and Raceway Park founder Vinny Napp. Napp developed the first small-scale replica dragster for his son in 1991, and the first pair of NHRA Jr. Dragsters launched down the Raceway Park dragstrip in 1992.
Today the league has grown dramatically, and the program is offered at most NHRA member tracks across the United States. In the 5-year-old classification, the Trainee category, participants can begin running a Jr. Dragster with a crate engine from Briggs & Stratton with a slide valve limiting the power output of the engine. Trainee participants will make single passes down the dragstrip to get familiar with the car and track surroundings in a non-pressure environment. Another separate classification for 6-and-7-year-olds also has been created, the Youth category, which will allow participants to begin competing head to head on the track at the 13.90-second index with a crate engine and slightly increased power output from the Trainee category engine. “It is important to provide competition opportunities for children in these age groups so they can become exposed much earlier to the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League and the sport of NHRA Championship Drag Racing,” said Josh Peterson, NHRA vice president of racing administration.
“With similar introductory programs available in stick and ball sports for ‘pee-wee’ competitors, we wanted to put an NHRA Drag Racing option into that mix for families to consider.” NHRA also instituted a new licensing process for all new Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League participants that require each driver to complete a cockpit orientation, basic driving test, track orientation, and test passes. The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League also offers different categories for age groups up to 17 with speed and elapsed time restrictions for participants based on age and experience. Those categories are novice (8-9), intermediate (10-12), and advanced (13-17). In addition to the weekly programs offered at NHRA member tracks, the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League offers two marquee events. The NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Western Conference Finals is set for July 10-12 at Utah’s scenic Rocky Mountain Raceways, and the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Finals will be held July 24-26 at Tennessee’s famed Thunder Valley, Bristol Dragway.
Nearly 1,000 kids compete for individual and team honors at the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern and Western Conference Finals, with nearly $50,000 being awarded at each event, including $2,500 and an NHRA Wally champion’s trophy to each individual winner.Baby Ferrets For Sale In Ohio The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League creates family involvement in drag racing at an affordable level. Crew Chief Pro Junior Dragster SoftwareDouble Double up. These two gentlemen, , Matt Rusicka and Chris Rusicka won both outlaw and runner up outlaw in the West Coast and East Coast finals. Great Job GentlemenCrew Chief Pro Junior Dragster SoftwareCrew Chief Juniors, Possible the most exciting event of a year is winning a wally. I have seen you (juniors) be successful. Honestly, one of my highlights of '16 was watching the Junior parade down the track after winning the East Coast Junior Finals in Bristol. We had gotten to know many great junior familys in the days during the event and was fortunate to share in the excitement. Don also won National Event Wally in July. Wallys are few and far between. He has been... fortunate to have won 4 wally's: 2 National event and 2 divisional event. As you know Don has made Drag Racing his life through his company. I hear other racers tell him every day " you are Living the dream." Crew Chief is 27 years old this year and for the first 10 years of the company Don worked 2 jobs to get it off the ground.
This success requires a work ethic that is common among racers Below is a story that was written about Don after his latest Win in Norwalk. When an engines fires up, it is music to Don Higgins' ears. He raced motorcycles as a teenager around north Peoria but now goes 200 miles an hour in a dragster. "It's a major adrenaline rush. it's fun, exciting, terrifying all at the same time," said Higgins. ""You get used to it but there's no way to prepare yourself for 3.3 G forces." And there was no way for Higgins to prepare himself to be a force in drag racing outside of his cockpit. "I hated math then I realized I needed math," Higgins said of his days in school. "I doubled my efforts in high school and college to learn advanced mathematics to learn what the vehicle is doing." And 27 years ago, Higgins started using analysis tools to design software that would help him win races. Tools analyzing how weather factors like wind, temperature, and vapor pressure effect a car's performance. He started winning and his business, called Crew Chief Pro software, started became booming.
"Anybody I have lost to has been my customer," laughed Higgins. "I love to help them because they are my customers but I hate to lose to them. They hate to lose to me because they think I have an unfair advantage." Now Crew Chief Software is used by drivers all over the U.S. and in places like Australia, England and Germany. Higgins, 54, still loves to race, still wants to win. He broke a six-year winless drought with a win at the Summit Nationals this summer. But he also realizes he wins when his customers race to victory. "I've had people call me in tears," Higgins said. "An older gentleman called me after h e won his first race after 40 years of trying. He won and I was the first person he called." . Crew Chief Pro Junior Dragster SoftwareJuniors, I know of 2 Altronics paging weather stations that are for sale. They are both owned by one of the Crew Chiefs for Mountain View Racing. 1 Was sent in last year and Ryan paid $500.00 to make sure that it was all in great condition. He has used it just a few times this year.
The list price for a new Altronics paging weather station $1550.00 Crew Chief Pro web site. Altronics web site: $1799.00 and $19,99.00 for new. He is asking $750. I believe this is a fair price. He had anything and every thing that needed to be done last year. The second weather station, I am waiting to hear more about it. I will not recommend a weather station that I do not have confidence in. I let Poe's D7 know about the used weather station they purchased and it is working very well. FB or message me back and I will give you information on how to get in touch with Ryan.
