A Message From the President Board Hires New Administrator Last Hope takes a big step toward the future for all of the animals that we serve.  The Board has approved the hiring of Meghan Finch as our full-time Administrator to work in our Farmington office.  Her employment is effective on August 10.  Meghan has broad experience in the private work world.  Most recently Meghan worked as a Manager of a Starbucks store for 13 years.  She also has worked for Target.  Equally important, Meghan is a Last Hope volunteer as a Dog Foster.  Meghan lives in Farmington. Meghan will be assisted by a new part-time person Emmett Garlock.  Emmett is a retired Certified Public Accountant and lives in Lakeville.  Emmett will work 4 hours per day working with our finances and all things requiring an accounting background.  Emmett will start work on or before August 10. 

He will assume a lot of the work now done by our Accounting firm with a substantial monetary savings. Meghan and Emmett will overlap their work schedules by couple of hours so they can work together on various problems and projects.  Although not finally determined, our office hours will be extended – perhaps from 8:30 A.M to 6:00 P.M.  Meghan and Emmett are anxious to put their talents together to provide more support to our Fosters, other Volunteers, and most importantly, to all of the cats and dogs that receive help within the Last Hope operation.  The Board is confident that this step will result in more efficiency for all.  Please join me in working with these two new members of the Last Hope team. Last Hope Dog Division is looking for some Large Breed foster homes for dogs 1-4 yrs old that are 40-70 lbs. We provide food, kennels and leash and collars and even some toys!  You provide the love! You will be working on basic house manners and walking on a leash. Must be at least 17 with all members of family okay with it!

We also have pregnant cats who need a place to birth their babies and be safe until the babies are weaned.   Lastly, we have a need for persons who are home either part or full time to bottle feed little baby kittens until they are weaned at 6-8 weeks. Bottle feeding is time consuming but is so rewarding to see those little babies grow into loveable cats! Contact either of the following if you can help! Our fosters are a central part of our success in saving dogs and cats who will be euthanized simply because they were born! To date Last Hope has rescued 43,000 animals! Last Hope will provide you with the necessary training and supplies as they are available.

You simply pick the animal(s) up at one of our local vets, take them home and love and care for them and bring them to one of our weekly adoption events.
