This is Raj who was left in an apartment garage all by himself and was found and brought to Lucky’s. As you can tell by the first picture, Raj did not trust humans at all from his scary experience and the volunteers were even scared to clean his cage as he would start hissing right away. After a few weeks, Raj decided to wander out of his cage one day and at first we were worried about how he would react. But he immedi...ately became like a different cat and was so happy! She came to Lucky’s as a feral cat from a farm where she feared humans and would not let anyone touch her. With the help and ongoing efforts of our dedicated volunteers, Gladiola began to realize humans are not the enemy.

She opened up and some volunteers with caution began to pet and brush her which she especially loves! She has grown so much and yesterday she was adopted by this wonderful person who gave us an update already and has called her Zoe! We know it will take time for Zoe to settle in, but we are so happy for her and her new family and that she now has a home!toLucky's Place Animal ShelterGladiola is slowly making herself at home (I'm calling her Zoe - which means 'life' - a new life for her at a real home!) Her story had a happy ending thanks to Lucky's Place. She had her kittens there and, after they were weaned, a vet did a pro bono surgery to remove her injured leg, which could not be saved. Once recovered, she was adopted by her forever family from Lucky's Place.
