Book signing Benefit CCR -- Thursday March 24th, 2011 Winter 2011 Newsletter Winter 2011 NewsletterThe concept of a community based non-profit shelter was born over lunch in June, 2011. The only condition sought by the initial committee members was that the new shelter would be “no kill”…meaning it would NOT euthanize animals on the basis of overcrowding. SPARC (Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the first and only no-kill animal shelter in Ventura County. SPARC is a place where homeless animals are brought for humane care without risk of being killed due to lack of space, illness or injury. SPARC is actively saving lives by rehabilitating and re-homing animals, at the same time partnering with the community to educate on the importance of spay/neuter and vaccination programs. To truly deliver on our no-kill mission, SPARC relies on generous contributions from other passionate animal lovers and advocates. Our Bungalow Sponsorship program provides a great opportunity for families, private organizations, and businesses to directly support the animals we rescue.

Bungalow Sponsorships are also a wonderful way to pay tribute to a beloved person or pet. Sponsorships can be made in memory or honor of a loved one who loved their pet like a family member, or a pet that has enriched your life. This program represents a great opportunity to help other animals find their own loving, life-long homes.Bungalow Sponsors are recognized with a highly visible, personalized plaque acknowledging your sponsorship, hung on your sponsored Bungalow as an individual, an organization, or a company displayed for an entire year. Sponsors are also recognized on our website, social media site, and newsletters.Your sponsorship fee will help provide for EVERY animal who is housed in your Bungalow for one year. Buddha was barely alive when he was carried into S.P.A.R.C. by a Santa Paula Police Officer. He had tattoos across his chest and genitals which caused paralysis in his back legs. Any other shelter would have euthanized him but S.P.A.R.C believes every animal deserves a chance.
