We’ve loved watching her grow into a big girl so we wanted to share her photos with you! As cute and fun as it is to watch Rylai (who’s 2 months old), one of the best things about this story is about how much sensible advice Rylai’s owner has for anyone else interested in owning a fox or any other exotic pet. Read on for more info! More info: Facebook | Meet Rylai, a domesticated white marbled red fox She is now two months old – she’s growing up! Rylai lives at home with two other dogs “I’ve wanted a pet fox for several years.

After a lot of research and waiting, I felt that my home and schedule were ready,” her owner writes “Rylai is much more stubborn [than a] cat or a dog in every aspect” “When she wants something, it is much more difficult to deter her” “Her stunning coat color is the result of over 100 years of domestic breeding – she’s not albino “Her color does not occur in the wild and only exists in captive bred foxes” “While color is not the only reason why she can not survive in the wild, it makes her easy prey for predators and also makes hunting for food near impossible” “Rylai can’t be left alone for long periods of time” “I don’t leave for long dinners, movies, or anything that takes over 2 hours and even that is a stretch” “Rylai is still learning how to walk on a lead with a harness but pet foxes in general can be taught to walk on lead” Her owner wants to raise awareness about the responsibility that owning an exotic pet entails

“I have past experience with exotic animals and significant dog training experience” “Rylai is my companion. We hope to continue to be a great example of responsible exotic pet ownership”
Min Pin Puppies For Sale In Cleveland Ohio “I am in full support of adopting a pet from a shelter”
Pocketbook Puppies For Sale “That being said, responsible breeders (of any animal, exotic or not) and responsible pet owners are NOT the problem”
Puppies For Sale In Temecula Ca “The real problem is mill/commercial breeding, backyard breeding, and irresponsible pet owners”Rules about pets are particularly stringent in Massachusetts. According to the Mass.gov website, the state’s “regulations regarding the possession of wildlife are among the strictest in the country. ”

MassWildlife has a list of exotic pets that are permissible in the state, and it’s pretty short. So as tempting as it may be to shake things up and get your cat or dog a new, feral playmate, there’s some limitations when it comes to which critters you can raise. Before you build a cage for your would-be unusual pet, double check this list to make sure your companion of choice is legal in this state. Foxes didn’t make it on the list of mammals you can own in the state of Massachusetts. Regardless of whatever fantasies grew from watching The Fox & The Hound and the fact that there are states that allow you to own a fox, they are banned in Massachusetts.

Though it’s hard to see why anybody would consider owning a pet monkey after hearing about what Travis the Chimpanzee did to Charla Nash in 2009, there’s still some places where you can keep one in your home. Not in Massachusetts, though. Here, the only primate you’re allowed to own is a human child. But it’s not happening up here. Just buy a Husky. Sorry, Pumpkin lovers. This adorable, masked, rabies-laden critters have to stay in your garbage can. If that’s what you’re into. You can own a python and/or boa of any size as long as they aren’t poisonous, endangered, or on the list of unlawful snakes. This hurricane needs to stop causing all of this rain in Charleston. I can't lounge in the sun with all of this flooding. ☔️😑 photo posted by Lionel The Hedgehog (@lionelthehog) on Oct 2, 2015 at 11:24am PDT Hedgehogs are an Internet sensation. A girl in South Carolina runs an Instagram account for her hedgehog that has over 32,000 followers. That’s how much people love hedgehogs. (By the way, Squirrels are illegal.) Sugar gliders make demon noises when they’re angry and/or scared and are too small to really cuddle. But if

that’s up your alley, they’re easily available to purchase and live about six to eight years. Very zen, very expensive, and a very bad idea if you own a cat.
