This is Jack Smith’s True Red Mazda 3 TS 1.6TD from Sheffield, England. Jack built this regular Mazda 3 to be modified to look like the MPS (Mazdaspeed) exterior and interior. This conversion was done with the MPS front end, rear bumper, spoiler/wing, and side skirts. This one of one front lip you see on the Mazdaspeed front bumper was custom made by Jack, himself. For those of you in North America this is second generation of the Mazda 6, and the start of the unavailability of the wagon body style because of poor sales, and CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) regulations. With 10 years of experience, they have expanded the Tuner Evolution tour to include Daytona Beach, Florida. Here is a photo dump of that weekend that brought people from surrounding states to Florida. Section5 in East Japan is a car show and music festival, which is a first new event in Japan, where such a fusion was made. It was held at an university in Nasu, Tochigi. At the university, they transformed an area in a club with a DJ playing throughout the day. So, if you are into cars or the music, either can be enjoyed. Here are some of the Mazdas that came through the event, but there was plenty of other makes/models out too. Krispy Kreme, In&Out, and Drive. It is a weekly Miata meet located in the City of Industry in California that brings out Southern California’s finest roadsters out on a weekly bases.  However, on July 17th  it was the KINOD 10 year anniversary meet to celebrate the history this meet has for the Miata, and the automotive community in general. Simple just a fun meet to come out and socialize.

As you can see from the pictures there were plenty of roadsters of all styles, as well as other makes that came to this event to show love. What is Itasha style? This Japanese term was coined to those individuals who stylized their cars with fictional anime/manga, or video game characters, which is done with the use of vinyl (stickers) throughout the entire body of the car in a Itasha livery type fashion or partial areas as you will see below. This is definitely not everyone, but nothing really is. For Nathan Villalon’s 1st generation Mazdaspeed 3 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida; it’s the perfect blend of two of his passions: cars and anime/manga. Like most automotive enthusiasts, Nathan drew his inspirations from Japan, but for him it was more specifically the onikyan style. , we have, Yoshiyuki Hamasaki’s 2001 Sunburst Yellow RX-7 FD3S at the Yoshima parking area with the Seto Ohashi Bridge behind. Yoshiyuki is back at it with an updated look to his amazing FD3s RX-7 from Takasago, Japan.
