Turn off your water by closing both water valves under the sink. Remove the plug on the back of the faucet that covers up the set screw. Loosen the screw with the Allen wrench and slide the handle off the cartridge. Remove the dome cap, which is a round, cylindrical piece right under the faucet handle. Twist it to the left to loosen it and pull it off. Remove any additional parts under the dome like the spout or washers (some Moen faucets have a spout piece under the dome; unscrew this to remove it). Remove the cartridge nut with a wrench. Remove the cartridge from the faucet head by lifting it straight up and out of the faucet. Insert a replacement cartridge and reattach the cartridge nut and tighten it with the wrench. Replace the dome cap and tighten this, then install the handle and tighten the screw with the Allen wrench.

This was just what I needed though I was a little insecure as I waded through the choices when compared to the minimal info you can glean from just looking at your faucet. How could I KNOW this was the right valve. Easy to change...no more dripping. Be sure to have something with good grip to get the old cartridge out. Mine was stuck pretty good so pulling by hand wasn't enough. Locking pliers did the trick for me. When you have a dripping faucet, this is the baby that will fix it quickly. I went ahead and installed one for the hot side and the cold side and...........no more drip. Nice tight fit and very easy to install. Don't forget you will need the faucet replacement tool to go with it......otherwise you aren't going to be able to remove all the parts to get to this cartridge. The product came in a sealed plastic bag. It was the correct product. The product can be used with either the left side (hot) or the right side (cold) depending on the plastic insert provided.
