Plawecki (2010-12) and the Mets will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a National League Division Series. The best-of-five series begins Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET in LA. Plawecki is expected to serve as the Mets' backup catcher behind Travis d'Arnaud. If Plawecki plays in the series, he would become the first Purdue alumnus to see action in an MLB playoff game since Archi Cianfrocco (1987) played for the San Diego Padres in a 1996 NL Division Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Sattler (2004-07) helped the Somerset Patriots win the independent Atlantic League's championship title this season. Somerset defeated the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs three games to one in the championship series.
The Patriots won games three and four in Maryland after splitting the first two games at home. Sattler also helped the Wichita Wingnuts win the championship title of the independent American Association last year. Sattler pitched in two playoff games for Somerset, striking out a pair in a scoreless inning of relief in the opener of the championship series. 4000 Btu Window Air Conditioner With HeatHe was one of the Patriots' top setup men during the regular season, recording 64 strikeouts in 48 innings over 47 appearances while surrendering only 25 hits.Kittens For Sale In Devon And Cornwall -- Daniel (@DanielPSattler) October 6, 2015Curtain 3d Model Rhino Despite having a league-best 89-50 overall record this season, Somerset did not have home-field advantage in its championship series with Southern Maryland (69-71).
The East-Coast storms associated with Hurricane Joaquin led to consecutive postponements of game three before action finally resumed Sunday in Maryland. The Patriots' 3-1 win Oct. 5 was the championship clincher. Cameron Perkins (2010-12) and Brad Schreiber (2010-13) also helped their Minor League Baseball teams qualify for the postseason this year. Perkins and the Reading Fightin Phils swept their opening-round series in the Double-A Eastern League playoffs, but lost a winner-take-all game five in the championship series with the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles affiliate). Perkins was 10-for-29 while hitting safely in seven of Reading's eight playoff games. He connected for a solo homer in the decisive game five of the championship series, accounting for the first run of the night. Plawecki played in 73 games for the Mets this season. He made his big-league debut in April and remained with the Mets through early August. After a three-week stint at Triple-A Las Vegas, he was recalled as part of the Mets' Sept. 1 call-ups and played in 11 games during the stretch run.
The Mets clinched their first NL East title since 2006 on Sept. 26 with a win in Cincinnati. Plawecki was in the starting lineup the following night and connected for a solo home run at Great American Ball Park. Unfortunately, he was also in the lineup for Max Scherzer's historic second no-hitter of the season Oct. 3 in the Washington Nationals' 2-0 win at Citi Field. TBS will be providing live television coverage of the entire National League playoffs. The Dodgers' have home-field advantage in the five-game series. Games one and two are Oct. 9-10 in LA, games three and four are Oct. 12-13 in New York and a potential game five is Oct. 15 back in LA. The Mets swept an NL Division Series with the Dodgers in 2006, but David Wright is the only active Mets' player that saw action in the series. Over the years, several other Major League Baseball teams, including the Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, have used the stadium as their headquarters for spring training. The St. Petersburg Athletic Park at the current site of Al Lang Stadium was the spring home for the Boston Braves and New York Yankees from 1923 until after World War II, hosting such baseball greats such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Stan Musial.
The first incarnation of the current field was built for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1947. Gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff for all Tampa Bay Rowdies home matches. Fans sitting in the Midfielder’s Club or Midfielder’s Reserved seating sections may enter the stadium through a dedicated gate on 1st St. SE, across from the Hilton, for their convenience. Fans with tickets for any other seating areas can enter the stadium through gates 2 or 3, adjacent to the Al Lang Stadium parking lots. Strollers are permitted, but must be parked in designated areas. The Al Lang stadium lot offers those who show early a $5 spot, but the parking lot may fill up early. Fans may also park in the nearby South Core garage, reachable from First Ave. S., between First and Second Streets for $5. Another option is the BayWalk garage, a six-minute walk from the stadium, on Second Ave. N., between First and Second Sts.  Rates for these facilities are usually $5 but could be up to $10, depending on what other downtown special events may coincide with games, such as on the Fourth of July.
Limited parking is also offered in the Mahaffey Theater garage for $10 when the garage is not in use by theater patrons. If fans decide to park on-street instead of lots and garages, they should pay close attention to the posted time limits or other requirements. Want to save energy for the game? Look for the bright red and yellow Downtown Looper trolley and hop aboard for just 50 cents. The Downtown Looper passes by Al Lang Stadium, with a stop located at the Hilton, 333 First St. S., every 15 minutes, and circulates between all of the city’s hotels, attractions and major parking facilities. The St. Petersburg Trolley's Downtown Looper operates 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with service until midnight on Saturday. Prohibited items at Al Lang Stadium include, but are not limited to: * Air horns/Bull horns * Animals except certified service dogs * Bags larger than 16" x 16" x 8" * Cameras with 12" or more lenses * Coolers and/or ice chests * Fireworks (Including flares and smoke bombs)
