Ocalicos specializes in Persian high white bi-colors, calicos and an occasional solid color. A bi-color persian is  predominantly  white with “other” colors; red, cream, black, blue on parts of the body. A calico cat is a white cat with patches of red and black or dilute colors of cream and blue. Ocalicos Persians cattery registered with the CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) in 1992.  After five years of studying championship pedigree bloodlines, attending many CFA cat shows and seeking advice and guidance from established breeders, we granded our first cat in 1997. We exhibit exclusively in CFA mostly within the CFA Southern Region.  We have held the CFA Cattery of excellence for many years. Our cattery is located in Ocala in the warm and sunny climate of upper North Central Florida. We are 90 miles north of Orlando with shipping nationally and internationally from Orlando International Airport (MCO). We ship via air cargo and personal pet transport agents. To offer our cats the utmost care, we have converted our home attached two car garage into a large cattery. Here our cats enjoy spacious, temperature controlled living quarters with emphasis on personal attention, sanitation and good health practice.   We feed Royal Canin dry foods (Persian & Kitten) along with lean, raw beef formulas for queens and kittens. The focus of our breeding program is to produce persians as close to the CFA breed standard as possible. We occasionally have pet kittens available but breed mostly for CFA show quality. While the American Cat Association considers this as part of the Persian breed, the American Cat Fanciers Association treats this cat breed as independent from the Persian breed. We are a small in-home cattery specializing in teacup, toy, and standard size doll face Persians.  While our cattery is located in Southeast Florida, we offer shipping to most major airports in the United States.  It has been our pleasure and passion to breed Persians for over two decades. After years of breeding many colors, we recently decided to downsize our cattery to produce only white, silver, and gold Persians with our main focus on health, temperament, and beauty.

By downsizing and specializing on a few select colors, we are able to provide the type of attention required to produce outstanding family pets that are not only very healthy but also well socialized. All kittens come with a USDA approved health certificate signed by a licensed vet. During this health check, kittens are blood and stool tested negative for feline diseases and parasites. Age appropriate vaccinations are administered including a feline booster. Buyer receives the vet signed health certificate at the time of delivery as the health certificate must travel along with the kitten. Our kittens come with a written health guarantee against serious genetic health issues. This guarantee is also part of an agreement requiring you to provide your kitten with quality care and quality food. There are a few restrictions including certain vaccinations such as the FELV vaccination and the FIP vaccination. Your kitten will arrive having tested negative for FELV; therefore, there is no point in administering that particular vaccination if your kitten will remain indoor away from cats with diseases.  

The FIP vaccination is extremely dangerous to cats. Vets do not administer this vaccination on a regular basis, but you should be aware of the possibility. We suggest keeping a record of all vaccinations as part of your Persian kittens health information. Our kittens are loved and held from birth thus producing a very well socialized and friendly kitten. Persians are docile and quiet cats that love being indoors. It is their passive personalities that make Persians very family friendly. Typically Persians get along great with children and other small pets. Persians are also quite loyal. It’s not unusual for your Persian kitten to follow your around like a puppy dog. Persians also love to chill out on the couch and snuggle with you while you sleep. Like people, kittens also have their own little personalities. Some kittens are more friendlier than others. We strive to be honest and up-front about individual kitten personalities. Prices are based on visual quality, such as coat and body structure, and personality.

Our prices are also affected by the time of year. We accept major credit cards including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We also accept PayPal. Because we accept payments only when kittens are ready for adoption, we no longer accept holding deposits. The kittens advertised on our website for purchase are eating, drinking, using the litter pan, and socialized. With this in mind, there is no need for a deposit to hold a kitten as all of our available kittens are ready to go! Remember when you buy Persian kittens, do not send a money order as there are many scams. We offer shipping to most major airports within the United States. Kittens fly via United Airline’s Pet Safe Program. Kittens ship and arrive on the same day. Being kept in a climate controlled environment, kittens are never exposed to harmful weather elements. Pet shipping via United Airlines is not available to all US airports, but this service is available to many major international airports. Only certain airplanes are used to ship pets thus limiting flights and space.
