Eighty-four cats and dogs seized from Surrey breeding and boarding facility Pets are okay after being taken from Surrey breeding and boarding facility SURREY – The BC SPCA has seized 84 animals from a breeding and boarding facility in Surrey. Spokeswoman Lorie Chortyk says the 69 cats and 15 dogs – including some puppies – were taken from the property after a vet deemed they were all in distress. The cats are Persians and short-haired exotics, while the dogs include four French bulldogs, a poodle, a Pomeranian and the Pomeranian’s two puppies. Chortyk says the animals will be examined by SPCA staff to determine the extent of their injuries. The seizure comes after the animal welfare agency took 66 dogs from a Langley puppy mill earlier this month. Chortyk says those dogs are doing great, but require further treatment before they can be adopted.A fun meet up group for pomeranians in the Metro Vancouver area + their people!
