Hats off to Renaissance, they go the extra mile for there customers.SOUTH BAY, Calif., January 30, 2012 – South Bay Galleria, in partnership with Designing Women South Bay, a women’s guild in support of Working Wardrobes, is proud to announce the second annual Prom Clothing Drive – for “Dream Girls and Distinguished Gentlemen”, a clothing drive collecting gently used formal attire for disadvantaged high school students. The Prom Clothing Drive – for “Dream Girls and Distinguished Gentlemen” will take place on Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday, February 12, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the South Bay Galleria’s own retail space located on Level 2 of the mall next to Nordstrom. 

Guests are encouraged to drop off gently used formal dresses, shoes, purses, tuxedos, bowties, cummerbunds, etc., which will be donated to the Working Wardrobes program for high school students. “This event is so important to hundreds of teenagers who otherwise may not be able to attend their High School Prom,” explained Mickey Marraffino, Regional Marketing Director of South Bay Galleria.   “Last year’s Prom Clothing Drive at South Bay Galleria was an enormous success, as we collected more than 215 dresses.  This year, we are also collecting men’s attire, and with the help of generous donations throughout the South Bay community, we hope to provide more young adults with the opportunity to attend their Prom and formals.” Formal attire collected at the drive will be presented to young men and women from low income families at a series of “Dream Girls & Distinguished Gentlemen" workshops, which will be held March 10.  “We are so grateful for all the support South Bay Galleria has provided to teenagers involved with our Dream Girls and Distinguished Gentlemen program,” explained Janice Goff Kurihara, President of Designing Women South Bay.
