Even after her illness commenced she remained in contact and mentored the present officers.

The Reta Parton Helping Paw award is given at Pugfest annually in her honor to the volunteer who has made the most impact on the Rescue. She made many pug friends through the years and if you were one of them, please let her family know. You may make posts to her Facebook page under the name Reta Parton so Lendeal and Tonya can see your condolences. Visitation for Reta will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Sisco Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas. Her graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 pm at the Coffelt Cemetery in Vaughn, Arkansas. She stepped up and made sure the Rescue was functional, funded and relevant. In the spirit of Reta's legacy, it was easy to select this year's winners. Sandra Wardlaw and Yolanda Wardla...w have worked tirelessly assisting the Rescue in the administration of the online auctions that have provided much funding for the last two years. They have been administrators on the auction site Yogi Bear and w Pals Pug-tas-ti-cal Auction since it began.

They assisted everyone and even fixed lots of mistakes. They live far from Arkansas, but came to our aid when our dogs needed it most. I would like to have all of their friends across the world congratulate them on this award. Both Sandra and Yolanda have the heart of rescuers and deserve all the well wishes and thanks they will receive.
