I have personally been a pug lover for years. My first pug, Honey (RIP) was a retired backyard breeder and it just broke my heart. From then on I started volunteering with pug rescue groups.In September 2011 I received an urgent foster request from a rescue I was affiliated with. He was found tied to a pole in a parking lot. When I got him he was extremely aggressive, I almost returned him, and I would never do that. I continued to stick it out, it turns out that this pug, Eddy, was severely physically, emotionally and sexually abused. He did not know how to love. It took a lot of work and patience, but I have to tell you that now he is the most loving, gentle dog there could be. He IS the perfect pug.The rescue I was affiliated with is located in NYC and decided to keep their foster homes located in NY so they are close to their vet.

Central Jersey did not have their own pug rescue, I got laid off of my job, so it was the perfect opportunity to get my rescue started!! This rescue is dedicated to the legacy of Honey and Eddy.
