Bf Goodrich Tyres New ZealandSome have been tossed from one temporary place to another. Some have never had a home. Some have had nothing but love and tender care, others have had few kind words before they came to us. A few have suffered abuse.Route 66 Rescue Inc. recognizes the fact that dogs are pack animals and nature provides protection by keeping packs together.

They do not do well away from other members of their pack. The owner should be the alpha, or leader, and dogs in that pack look to him for protection and acceptance. Dogs need as much pack leader contact as possible. For this reason, all Route66 Rescue Inc. dogs are adopted to inside homes only. All are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on shots, wormed, and heartworm tested. They are adopted to homes with fenced yards only, unless they will be walked on a leash and never tied outside. All dogs in our care must be accepted as they are, and their new forever families must give them the time they need to become all they can be. Some will need training, others will surprise their new family with their tricks and manners. Some will be full of kisses and fun and others will be afraid of any show of affection. Love and acceptance will work wonders for all. Please accept our dogs for what they are and give them the life they deserve. If you are looking for a family member and don't find him/her on our website, request an adoption application and tell us what you are looking for.

We work with many rescues and shelters who may have your dog waiting for you. The requirements will be the same. We only adopt to inside homes, and dogs may not be allowed to roam. Electronic fences are not considered sufficient to keep our dogs safe. Other animals are free to cross into the fenced area, and humans who do not have the best interest of the dog at heart, have free access to them. All dogs will be spay/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, micro-chipped, and flea treated. References and/or home visit may be required. .Please join us in our Helping the Homeless mission to relieve misery, rescue the homeless and discarded, and make a difference for as many as possible, one dog at a time. All of our dogs are foster homes waiting for their forever family to claim them. for information or to request an application for an appointment to meet any of our dogs.Regular Adoption events: 1st Saturday of the month 10a to 3p Petsway 1517 W Battlefield Rd, Springfield. 3rd Saturday of the Month 10a to 3p Tactor Supply Northview Rd, NixaPlease see our Facebook page for update on additional special adoption events.

Dogs are pack animals and do not do well away from the other members of their pack. The adopter is the alpha member of the pack, and the dog or puppy needs as much one-on-one contact with the alpha as possible. For this reason, all Route 66 Rescue Inc. dogs are adopted to inside homes only. Thank you for understanding we want only the best for the dogs we place in your home. Because dogs are never safe out on their own, Route 66 Rescue Inc. dogs are adopted to families who agree to keep them leashed at all times they are outside, unless they are confined within a secure fence. We do not want our dogs running in packs or dashing in front of traffic. They are safe when they are confined or leashed. All dogs are to be returned to Route 66 Rescue Inc. if the dog ever needs to be re-homed.A home visit is required. When we visit, we are looking for a pet safe, and a pet friendly home. We want to see if other pets are congenial with the new family member. The adoption fee is the vetting fee which is usually $150.

This includes parvo/distemper vac., Bordetella, rabies vac., worming, nail trim, spay/neuter, heartworm test, microchip, and flea treatment. Additional vetting may increase the fee.*Get valuable coupons at Petsway when you show your adoption paperwork at any of our locations.
