It feels as though there have been 0 upgrades since it was built which is upsetting. The rooms are definitely subpar to what you would expect for Hawaiian standards.

It's not too bad. It's just not anything fancy or what I would stay in if the government wasn't paying. The staff was kind, every day they would ask to confirm we wanted (or not) service when checking our rooms, always greeting... Old, tired rooms, furniture and bedding. Sheets don't even go all the way to the end of the mattress. Lighting is very poor, making a dark room, even darker. A/C is spotty -- either blasting cold or blowing warm humid air. Smells moldy and smoky. 1 small bar of soap, 1 wash cloth, two hand towels and 1 bath towel... Honestly one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The internet was shotty at best. Sheets smelled like smoke, huge pot hole in the parking lot, AC was either on full blast or barely worked, had to ask for a coffee maker (was not told at time of check in that this was an option), bathroom is awkward... Was very happy with our 7 day, 6 night stay here. Needed a get-a-way on a budget. This sure fit the bill. Well appointed, close to EVERYTHING!

They are just terrific. If you are Military, active or retired, you gota check this out! This ones a keeper. I stayed at the Inn at Schofield Barracks prior to signing a lease on the island. The accommodations were nice (at least for officers . . . can't speak to the enlisted service member rooms), and the Inn is centrally located next to the commissary, PX, and other amenities. My room had a queen size bed, pull out couch, kitchenette,... My husband and I stayed here while visiting the island. The location was convenient for visiting the Dole Plantation and the North Shore which is why we chose it. The price tag was a little high compared to staying at the Hickam/Pearl Harbor inns, but we went with it anyway. Check-in was easy, but it seemed like they would charge... This inn is sadly the grossest hotel / motel I've ever stayed at. When we walked into the hotel room my heart sank as I saw and smelt a nasty room. To think that our soldiers and families are offered a hotel room with such poor amenities, rooms and service breaks my heart.

We've been here for a month due... What has happened to the service at the Schofield Inn restaurant? I now have to wait in line for 15-20 minutes just to order food? and then wait 30+ minutes to receive the food? the staff used to be quick and the service great but now there are many "supervisors" aimlessly standing around.
