Gap View is located on 100 acres nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  Gap View Ranch and Kennel was established in 1984 and has grown into one of the finest facilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Two separate kennel buildings provide housing and exercise yards for our sires, dams and puppies.  The health and happiness of our dogs is paramount here at Gap View, so we pay careful attention to their day-to-day care and feeding and to the cleanliness of their environment. Friday 11 AM to 6:30 PM Saturday 11 AM to 6:30 PM Sunday 11 AM to 6:30 PM Monday-Thursday call between 12:30 AM to 1:30 PM to set up a visitation appointment later that afternoon. All visitors MUST make an appointment ahead of time. Please do so by calling the ranch, not by email; leave a message if need be with your contact information. Gap View is under 24/7 video surveillance. All facilities are open to visitors and certifications are available for review. Certifications include: AKC, CKC, Hips, Eyes, Hearts and Elbows. Our dogs enjoy company and you will have a chance to meet them all.  Puppies may be available for viewing and socializing, as well. The species is native to Northern Asia and Southern Russia with fewer than 8,000 surviving in the wild, said Chris Crowe, crane keeper at the institute.
The chick was hatched on June 14 but was made public Thursday after biologists were sure it would survive.
