Purebred Chocolate Lab Puppies For Sale In Missouri

I am a registered veterinary technician and have been working in the field since 1999. I live on a small 20 acre farm in south central Missouri near the Arkansas boarder. My husband, Les, and I enjoy the country life. We have our labradors plus our four horses and some ducks here on the farm to keep us busy. Our labradors have plenty of room to run and several ponds to swim in. We also take them to the river to enjoy the cool spring water of the Eleven Point River in the summer. We like to take in the local sites and float the rivers in the area. Click here to see pictures of the farm and kennel. Hello, my name is Tammy Johnston and this is the story of how I got started in the wonderful breed known as the Labradors Retriever. I enjoy animals and working around them. I really like doing all the dog activities like confirmation, rally, obedience, and agility.  That is what had drawn me to the wonderful breed labrador retriever. They can do everything! How I got my start in Labradors .....
Belle was the reason I fell in love with the labrador breed. After moving to Missouri in November 2006 I began my search for my foundation labradors. Scone Buy Swap And Sell FacebookWe came up with the name of our farm from the humid, hazy mornings of the the ozarks that would have low hanging cloud bank through the trees. Used Vespa Scooters For Sale Los AngelesI took me a while before I could find someone willing to give me chance because I was from Missouri. Hot Tub Repair Fort Myers FlWhat they did not know is that I am originally from Maryland and I wanted to show in confirmation. The misconception of everyone from Missouri is a “puppy mill” really made it hard to get started and have good mentors. My first labradors were acquired from Starquest Labradors in Doniphan, Missouri.
They were Wyatt , Willow, and Annie. I found some good friends and mentors at a show I went to at the North Arkansas Kennel Club show in Harrison, AR (2010) - Page and Melissa. Page Johnson of Avery Labradors and Melissa Bickerstaff of Dostaff Labradors had encouraging words for me, being that this was my first ever confirmation show. They informed me of other shows and helped me out with some pointers in the show ring. Since then they have been an important part of my program and fellow show buddies. I enjoy going to shows and meeting new people. The best part of showing is seeing all those wonderful labradors. I come home from some shows without any ribbons but sometimes the compliments from fellow breeders of my dogs is better than a ribbon. Other wonderful breeders that have helped along the way are Mike and Lenore Hamilton of Blackwing Labradors of Cabot, AR. The longer I work with the labradors, the more I love this breed. I am always learning more each year that I raising and showing my labs.
I learn more about myself and how to deal with the heartaches that also come along with breeding. I am thankful for the helpful breeders that have been giving me advice along this journey. If it wasn’t for them passing on their knowledge, many important aspects of this wonderful breed would be lost. I am always reading up on medical news and keep on top of any new break throughs in genetic testing. The purpose is to produce a quality labrador and better the breed. I keep a few puppies to carry on those genetics and as show prospects. I really enjoy showing my labs and doing other performance events with them. Please enjoy this website I have made of my wonderful labradors here at Misty Woods Farm. What’s In A Name? Our farm is named for the mist or fog that we often get in the mornings or after rain storms in our area. The weather changes often here in the Ozarks depending on the direction our weather systems that are coming from the north or the south. Many times when there are major temperature changes we get heavy fog which lays low on our farm since we are in the hallow.
Hence, that is how we came up with “Misty Woods Farm” for our homestead. This is where our labrador kennel name came from. We have spring fed rivers here and it is often foggy or misty in the mornings when we go fishing. Also after a rain during the hot summer, when floating the river, we will get misty along the river. The requested URL /testimonials.phtml?header=testimonialheader.gif was not found on this server.Adams Marsh & Meadows Labs We are strictly hobby breeders at this time, and are researching getting into breeding pointing labs as a business.
