Like most people, you’ve probably heard time and again that if you have kids, you should adopt a Doberman puppy (or, gasp! find a Doberman puppy for sale). The rationale is that an adult shelter dog is an unknown quantity, so buying or adopting a Doberman puppy is safer. Puppies eventually can be trained out of this behavior, of course, and there are exceptions to every rule, but generally speaking, an adult Doberman (or any adult dog) is much less likely to shred your drapes like coleslaw or function as a “helpful” canine document shredder. So a three-month-old Doberman puppy needs to go outside every three hours, a four-month-old needs to go every four hours, and so on.  But if you’re planning on leaving your dog alone during your workday, you’ll definitely want to adopt a full-grown dog, ideally from a Doberman rescue that can help you find the right dog for your lifestyle.
Let’s bust these myths about adopting a Doberman Time to get real: when we ask people what reservations they have about Doberman adoption, we hear the same things over and over again.   You CAN find purebred Dobermans for adoption in an animal shelter or rescue group. Dobermans and Doberman puppies for adoption are NOT in any way inferior to or different from those for sale. If you want a puppy, you DON’T have to buy a Doberman puppy.  Doberman puppies ARE available for adoption. Here’s the truth: you absolutely can find a Doberman, even a Doberman puppy, for adoption in an animal shelter or rescue group.  Think about it: let’s say you buy a Doberman puppy for sale by a breeder. But what would happen to your wonderful Doberman if, tragically, something happened to you? The lucky person who adopts your Doberman would be getting a great dog!  Doberman rescue organizations often care for their adoptable dogs in foster homes, which means their foster families will be able to tell you if the Doberman you want to adopt is good with other animals or kids, and if he or she is housebroken and knows any basic commands.
As you can see, adopting from a rescue organization is likely the very safest way for people with children to add a new Doberman to their family! > "doberman" in Classifieds in OntarioDoberman Rescue Ontario shared their event.Just a reminder that there is NO meetup for today, due to driveway work and a new park project. Homes For Sale Lake Tyler New Bern NcThis 6 year old sweetheart needs a family that will complement this shy, playful and loving girl. Air Duct Cleaning Tucson ArizonaElecktra has blended well here with a few days of adjustment, which has been beneficial since she was a little confused.
With love & patience, she has opened up to such a darling personality. She is happy and comfortable to have the company of other large dogs and children but no experience with small breeds o...r cats. I know the first question everyone wants to know is why would someone give up on a girl like this? Well sadly Ellies family has separated and living situation and responsibilities have changed. But on the bright side Elektra will be able to make another family really happy and that special family super lucky. We are going to start accepting meet and greets to break the ice and learn if you might be her forever home. Doberman Rescue OntarioBack in March previous adopters Steve & Shannon informed us that they would be tying the knot. Since Claire (now known as Lana) has been such a big part of their lives, in lieu of traditional guest wedding favors they made a donation to our rescue. The poster board represents the faces their donation benefited. In May the board was displayed for their family and friends to see.
We now proudly have this board displayed in our office. Congrats and thank you again to Shannon & Steve Doberman Rescue Ontario***Adopted*** Ben needs your help finding a home. If anyone asks, Ben is 3 years old, plays well with other dogs, likes kids but prefers past toddler stage. Enjoys water, running, playing, toys but most of all affection. He prefers not to be alone for long so someone that works from home or can bring Ben along for the ride is being sought out. Great with recall and grooming, but still needs work with his leash manners. Please share, tag, like and tell a friend about Ben ... Doberman Rescue Ontario look@thedoberman.ca 416 562 5019 Posted by Doberman Rescue Ontario***Adopted*** Meet our buddy Ben 🙂 Ben is 3 year old ham that adores the company of his friends. He is fitting in here amazingly considering we were told he had bad separation anxiety and did not do well at his kennel but we are happy to report that has been rather the opposite here. He loves his digs, all his play time and hanging out with all his new friends. B
en plays really well with other females and other laid back males, also does well with small breeds but doesn't ha...ve likes for the felines. He is accustomed to a home with dog friendly kids (5+age is recommended). Benny likes to spend his time splashing in ponds, wiggling his bum for his people and roaming the trails. He is great dog to have on walks as his recall is pretty spot on but does however need work with his leash skills. He is wonderful guy that needs the time, home and people that can offer their TLC for TLC x 10 back from Ben himself. Contact our rescue if a visit to meet him is of interest. he will need a home without small kids, small breeds or cats due to lack of exposure. This is a female that loves to play fetch and is good at bringing the ball back (ah-mazing). She is very good with commands we know, but yes can be stubborn unless their is something in it for her We hope to find her a dedicated breed pal that has the time, love and home to share. He is a 13 year old that we have taken under our wing. We know his time is limited so we are making sure he lives out his golden years, happy, comfortable and knowing he is loved. He has grown extremely fawned of Richard (no surprise there) and Rich doesn't start, continue or finish his day without him. We are going to cherish and spoil him until his time comes as we feel it is apawn us . He has become a large part of our family and our everyday. I
f sweet, loyal and loving was one word Gunner would be it. #Doberman Rescue Ontario***Adopted*** Over the weekend we welcomed Chopper. Chopper came to us from our pal Sarah Saintsbury with the help of Freedom Drivers for transport to get safely to our care. To say Chopper is broken is an understatement. We want to show him our love but his first reaction is to brace himself to be harmed. It honestly breaks your heart. Due to clearly a scary past we right away start with a name change because a) Chopper does not suit him b) Doesn't represent the breed well ...and c) Because a fresh start has begun :). We have started to call him Cooper. Despite what Cooper has gone through his sweet natured and loving personality has not been tarnished. We can see his light and it is certainly bright. We will be working on building his confidence, teaching him to trust again and allowing him the time he needs to de-stress and hopefully show him that not all people are evil. He has already done a great job of capturing our hearts.
