Reverse Brindle Boxer Puppies For Sale Ohio

Not all Boxers have white markings. These are known as plain Boxers, but the term is misleading, as it refers to the genes at work. Read more: Boxers without White Markings Have a look at Nilla (16 weeks old). Her father was a fawn and her mother was predominantly white. All of the other pups in the litter were fawn. She is getting darker as she ages, yet is still a wonderful light golden color. The Facts and Fiction of White Boxers Long ago, before people knew better, a huge majority of Boxer dogs born white were actually slaughtered at birth! Naive thinking being that an all white Boxer would have health problems and most certainly be deaf. This way of thinking is now gone as the world knows that most white Boxers are just as healthy as fawn or brindle Boxers with only about 18% born deaf. And of course, they are just as beautiful. Despite myths, they have the same behaviorThe terms used to describe the colors of boxers can easily get confusing. This page should help anyone understand those terms so you can be proud to describe your puppy or what you are looking for to anyone!.

CLASSIC FAWN: has a fawn(or sandy brown) colored coat with a black face. AKC refers this color as "fawn with black mask." There can be different shades of fawn, from the more pale to a more reddish tint, but most fawns are about the same shade. Some have flecks or spots of white on their noses, chins or between the eyes, but not the full-face white-markings. FLASHY FAWN: is the color that most people think of when they think of a boxer.

"Flashy" puppies usually are born with a mostly white face.CLASSIC BRINDLE: is a fawn body with black stripes and a black face. Small amounts of white markings on the face or chin are common. There are many different ranges of "brindle" color, as later pictures/terms will describe, but most are about the same.FLASHY BRINDLE: is a striped brindle body, a black face, with a white T-bone shaped marking around the snout and up between the eyes. "Flashy" puppies usually are born with a mostly white face. The color of brindle can vary as the different brindle pictures demonstrate, but most are about the same as picture below.REVERSE BRINDLE: is a rare color. It is where the brindle-colored body is very dark, and appears to almost be solid black with fawn stripes, instead of solid fawn with black stripes - hence the name "reverse." AKC does not specify the differences in brindle shade, so these are technically just considered to be brindle, but the term is common knowledge.

We've had ONE of these puppies before, see picture below.GOLDEN BRINDLE: is also a rare color. It is simply a very light brindle, often with fewer black stripes than the average. AKC does not recognize the differences in shades of brindle, so again, these are technically recognized as "brindle." Rocky, the male stud that we use, is a golden brindle in the picture below.WHITE BOXERS: are also a somewhat rare color. Boxers with more than one-third of white on their coat are considered "white boxers" and NOT registerable through AKC. They unfortunately are highly likely to carry and develop genetic defects(commonly blindness, deafness, allergies), and are not recommended to be bred for that reason. We are very careful in our breeding choices to avoid producing white boxer puppies. There are many white boxers in animal rescues or often sold elsewhere in need of loving homes. It is heartbreaking to see breeders producing many white puppies, as it is a health risk created through breeding choices that can almost always be avoided, though those puppies are no less deserving of good homes.

We have not had a white puppy, the picture below was found online, we own no rights to it.SEALED BRINDLE: is the MOST rare color. They are a black boxer. It is where the typical black stripes are "sealed shut" and therefore you can see pretty much no fawn on their body whatsoever - they appear completely black in color. They often have the same white markings as any other boxer, but simply have pretty much no fawn color - only black and most likely some white. We have never had one of these before, though there are some in the bloodlines of our boxers. Again, AKC only recognizes these as "brindle." The picture below was found online, we own no rights to it.
