I have a very horrible experience with this store. My husband and I brought our car to the store for a regular maintenance. They recommended fuel cleaning. After the cleaning, our car is in a mess. On almost every place around the car they left chemical traces which made my husbands' hands full of painful blisters. After we thoroughly cleaned our car, my husband's hands still have blisters from time to time if he incidentally touched some place we still could not quite figured out yet. That was 80 dollars cheaper than what I paid for at Pep Boys two year ago and Pep Boys didn't do the job right the first time. Enviro H2o Vacuum CleanerI waited 30 minutes for someone to pickup me to work; Exotic Cat Breeders Oklahomathen, right before I left, I got a notice from the service manager that the labor actually cost $70 more because he made a mistake in calculating the labor. He asked me whether I would agree to pay $220 (before tax). That was a $70 surprise. Nonetheless, I said OK because I didn't bother to look around. I was stupid enough that I didn't ask for a printed copy for the new quote because they were not over with me.

There was a second surprise. When I went to pick up the car, I was told by a different service manager that the total was $265 (after tax). It was not the amount that angered me; it was that he raised the price again and assumed that I wouldn't remember the price difference. So, I told him that I only agreed to pay $220 and tax alone definitely would not account for the $45 price difference. He backed down and agreed to give me a discount of $25. So, I ended paying around $240. What Sears Auto Did Right: The wheel bearing job was well done. They totally fixed the noise problem I complained. Compared to Pep Boys, Sears Auto got the job done right the first time. Their store manager care about customers and followed up on complaints. What Sears Auto Did Wrong Initially: They did not give accurate and consistent pricing. The absolute price between the initial $150 quote and the final $240 payment was not huge ($70). However, there was a huge difference in how they asked for it (by ""adding 60% value"" to the initial quote).

I cannot be sure whether they were dishonest or they merely made innocent mistakes. Nonetheless, Sears Auto should have given me accurate and consistent pricing. If the first quote was wrong, give me a new quote in print without my having to ask for it (I was there physically after all). Additionally, Sears Auto should keep a consistent price. Don't equivocate about the quoted price TWICE. How Sears Auto Store Followed Up: Complained to Sears Auto hot line. The store manager called me back a couple days later and agreed to honor the original quoted price by paying me the price difference.
