Sphynx and Rex breeds are the most unusual looking in the world of cats. Rex, who are divided into the Cornish and Devon varieties, have short, wavy coats with no overcoat layer of fur. Sphynx are known for their “nakedness”, though have degrees of hairlessness. Both breeds are known for their extremely social, friendly personalities. Neither breed is hypoallergenic. Rex have minimal coat grooming needs; however, many tend to have waxy ears that need to be cleaned regularly and thoroughly to avoid infections. Sphynx, despite their lack of coat, can be very high maintenance. Without a hair coat, many of them tend to be “greasy” with body oils and must be bathed regularly (though not too much or they develop skin problems). Light colored furniture and bedding can be stained from an oily cat. Their ears also need constant care due to wax buildup. These breeds tend to have digestive problems, so it is critically important that these cats be kept on extremely high-quality food.

We recommend to everyone who wants to adopt a bambino or sphynx baby from us to leave a deposit ahead of time to secure your place in the order of people to choose a kitten from a future litter.  The deposit amount is only $100.  Once your deposit is secured we will contact you when the kittens are 2 weeks old and it is determined which sex they are, what color, and if the breeder will be holding any, then we will allow everyone to begin the choosing process in order of the placement of their deposit.   You will have 24 hours to make your decision on the available kittens once contact via your preferred method. If the litter produced does not provide you with a kitten of your preferred sex or color or you just don’t find one that pulls your heart strings, your deposit will simply be deferred onto the next up-coming litter.  The deposit is also transferable among any of our 8 LiLNudists partner locations in Southern California; and 2 locations in Jacksonville, (Northern) Florida.  

Once deposit is placed it is non- refundable because we will be spending a considerable amount of time and effort keeping you updated on the new babies and photos and information when they are available. All you have to do now that you have decided to adopt a kitten from us is to scroll down and fill out the easy online adoption application and submit your $100 deposit.  You can either submit immediately via the PayPal link on our adoption page or you can mail check or money order directly to us.  Please contact for mailing information.   We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your adoption application however we will not finalize your approval until you place your deposit. Here is an illustration of the process; you submit your application and deposit and are approved for our waitlist; you are 3rd on the wait list to choose a Sphynx kitten; once the new arrivals turn two weeks old and person #1, and #2 have chosen it is your turn to choose among the remaining babies.
