Not much to say - except it does exactly what it says it does. Sits in the tank and hangs there nicely. Cheap, effective way to save water and money. My toilets are all factory 1.6GPM and this has no negative effects whatsoever. I installed these in my home on 4 toilets and have not had one double flush yet. Works as described on an older toilet that generally uses alot of water for the flush. Obviously follow the fill directions but just test it out, if you find it's not enough of a... I though this would work but it failed all expectations. It caused my toilette to overfill while it flushed and now runs all the time even after taking this product out. Works well, can't complain. I thought it would displace a little more water, but it works fine as is. Works simply and well, an older toilet uses a lot of water and takes an age to refill, this speeds this up and saves water. When bag was filled with water to recommended amount, unit interfered with flushing flap and water in tank ran constantly.
I wish it was a bit cheaper, but it does what it said.the plastic clip included to keep it in place was too large and I had to replace it with a string. My grandparents had one in their 1960's era toilet for several years and it had accumulated some gunk and hard water build up. good delivery, great idea and good water saver Toilet Tank Bank Water Conserving Tank Insert - 3 Pack 0.5 GPM Low Flow Dual-Thread Faucet Aerator - Kitchen and Bath - 6-PACK Niagara Earth Massage 1.25GPM Low flow showerhead Niagara N2515CH Sava Spa 1.5 GPM Fixed-Mount Showerhead, Chrome Published on May 15th, 2014 | Installing a toilet tank bag(s) is a great way to save water in your home. For every bag you install you could save up to .8 gallons per flush! Plus, you won’t have to change any of your use habits to be more efficient. Just follow these steps to start saving water today. Instructions: installing the toilet tank bag 1. Open the back of the toilet.
Remove the lid from the tank area of the toilet and set it aside. 2. Fill the tank bag. Simply open the valve on the tank bag(s) and slowly submerge it into the back of the toilet tank to fill it with water. How full do you want the bag? It’s a tough question, since it will depend on a number of site-specific factors including type of toilet and water pressure in the house. Filling the tank bag(s) all the way may not leave you with enough water to clear the bowl every time you flush. If this turns out to be the case, you’ll simply pour out some of the water from the tank bag. But for now, fill it to the top and close the valve. Just remember to make sure you get all the air out of the bag, otherwise it’ll float and interfere with the flushing mechanisms. 3. Hang the bag inside the tank. The tank bag has a plastic hanger at the top. Simply loop that over the side of the toilet tank wall that is farthest away from the mechanisms in the toilet tank (to make sure it doesn’t interfere with the operation).
4. Give your toilet a test flush. Take a few pieces of toilet paper and toss them into the bowl of the toilet. Now, give your toilet a flush. As the toilet is flushing check that both the toilet paper in the bowl and water in the tank clear fully. Also, be sure that the tank bag doesn’t interfere with any of the toilets moving parts. If your toilet is working, you’ve successfully installed your tank bag! Now grab the lid to the tank and gently place it back on top of the toilet. 5. Educate the users. The possibility that a big #2 won’t flush all the way always exists, but the possibility grows if you are reducing the amount of water used. Luckily, the toilet tank bag is easy to adjust. Simply remove the lid of the tank, open the valve of the tank bag, and push some of the water out of it. At some point, you and/or the other users of the toilet will find the perfect level for everyone in the household. Even if that’s just .5 Liters, you’re still saving half a liter of water EVERY time the toilet flushes.
