At Puppies Up North, we breed and raise the finest Mini-Labradoodles, Mini Goldendoodles,  Spoodles and Pooshi’s from excellent blood lines here in beautiful north central Minnesota. At Puppies Up North we have a special love for all kinds of dogs, but Mini Labradoodles, Mini Goldendoodles, Spoodles and Pooshi’s have found a special place in our hearts. These dogs are warm, affectionate, don’t shed and are  hypoallergenic. Our dogs are born and trained at Withage Farms in Staples, Minnesota. We live on a 100 acre farm where the dogs are treated with the love and respect they deserve. (Prior to a devastating fire in February 2012, we were called “Camp Canine” which included a small kenneling and grooming facility.) Our puppies are more than well socialized,  they are also well on their way to knowing basic commands and social manners.   Our puppies are whelped in our nursery that is a converted bedroom in our home and are raised indoors with us.  They are weighed and handled each day.  Starting on day 3 our puppies are given  neurological stimulation.  Please click on neurological stimulation to learn more about it. We start training them to sit before they are fed or before getting any attention.  This means that when you get your puppy from us, she or he is well on their way to knowing how to sit on command and not to jump on you for attention. We also clap our hands before they are fed, this the first step in teaching them to come, as they will associate clapping with food, and will come when you clap.  

It is an easy step to learn the word "come" after this.   I take the puppies outside every two to three hours for play and house training. This gives them a good start in knowing they need to go outside to go to the bathroom. Because they are raised indoors with us, they are very used to household noises, such as the TV, radio, and the vacuum cleaner.   They are handled and played with everyday. We devolpement/behavior test each puppy so you can learn which puppy will be the best fit for your family.  Development testing is done at 7 weeks and so our puppy picks are not done until the development testing is done. They also come with a basic puppy pack including the following....... Vet record and letter, dewormings, a copy of the development test, dew claws removed, a set of training DVD's done by a professional dog trainer (a 50.00 value), a puppy blanket with mommy's scent, a toy, a starter bag of puppy food, puppy contract and tips and a health warranty.
