Where Can I Buy Cat Crap Anti Fog

I practice karate & I wear glasses. This is not a happy combination - I spend too much time picking my glasses up off the mat. So I went out & bought a pair of sports goggles, they stay on but fog up something fierce. (My *opponents* like sparring with a blind man, though... ;-) For those who don't practice the Ancient Asian Art of kicking-below-the-belt: it is the *ultimate* workout. You sweat an unbelievable amount, making this a true stress test for anti-fog goop. I tried an old spray-on I use for my motorcycle face shield - but that did next-to-nothing to help.I hit good ol' Amazondotcom & found the three highest-rated anti-fog products & tried them out on successive weeks.NUMBER THREE is the artfully-named "Cat Crap" Ek Cat Crap Glass and Lens Cleaner It's a waxy substance, you smear it on & by the directions buff it until clear. But I don't know how to tell the difference between "buffing until clear" and "wiping it off." It did do better at mitigating the fogging problem than the old spray-on I had laying around.

But it still didn't keep the lenses clear, either. Three Stars.NUMBER TWO is Sea Drops McNett Sea Drops Anti-Fog & Lens Cleaner, (1.25 oz) This is a viscous fluid, you smear it on & let it dry, then buff. I buffed it just barely enough for the spots to disappear & tried it out.

I perfer the spray.I can go a month or so fog free! And in this humid Northeast summer weather, it's so needed on my sunglasses!!! Great stocking stuffer for adult "boys". Works great on glasses and dive masks. The name seems to fit. My glasses still fog up in the winter after applying this stuff. I feel like it used to work when I used Cat Crap like 25 or 30 years ago, but this new batch...

got this yesterday and have used it on both my husbands and my glasses... so far they are not fogging up, it cleans well, and we both have noticed a difference in the glare. Well, I have been disappointed. It is a good glass cleaner, but the anti-fog property is lacking. I read the reviews where the product is used in extreme conditions and it works... Only lasts a day or two and then need to reapply. Hardly worth the effort. I'll be looking at other options. I work in a chemistry lab where we have to wear goggles and used to have problems with them fogging up so bad I couldn't see. I ride horses in the heat and was really wanting something so my sunglasses wouldn't fog up. I didn't find that this helped all that much. This stuff wasn't that great. Out of the box it was runny goo. Im not sure if this was old stock or what. You need an REI membership to buy this product. Add a for a one-time fee of $20. As I highlighted in the current issue of AMC Outdoors, there really is a product called Cat Crap. It’s been my go-to anti-fogging treatment for goggles for many years. That’s not to say there aren’t other options, many of which perform adequately. Regardless of which anti-fogging product you choose, however, it’s important to understand one thing: There is no truly fog-proof treatment for your goggles or glasses in existence, especially if you’re out in very cold conditions. Based on my experience, different products all help reduce fogging, but none of them completely eliminates it. Which is why it’s so important to first hew to the following guidelines. 1. Don’t funnel your moist breath into your goggles or glasses. A fully zipped jacket collar, neck gaiter pulled over your lower face, or poorly venting face mask can all direct your warm, moisture-laden breath upwards and onto your eyewear lenses. Sort out your clothing system before you hit the cold-weather trails to avoid this.

While it’s impossible to completely eliminate sweating, you should avoid episodes of profuse perspiration, which create ample amounts of moisture around your head and face that make fogged lenses much more likely. 3. Go big on the goggles. Larger goggles generally provide better airflow, which helps reduce the likelihood of fogged lenses. “Over-the-glasses” (OTG) goggles are larger styles designed to fit over regular glasses and a good option for minimizing fogging. Though it’s hard to beat Cat Crap, a range of other options are out there. Some of the better ones include Fogtech DX, available as either a liquid treatment ($11.98 on Amazon) or disposable wipes ($1 to $2 per wipe, depending how many you buy); TYR Anti-Fog Spray, an inexpensive but reasonably effective liquid treatment ($3.99); and Oakley’s Nanoclear Hydrophobic Lens Cleaner Kit ($20), a well-reviewed liquid treatment that provides nanoclear vision, whatever that means. As a general rule, definitely choose liquid treatments over wipes—though they are slightly messier and less convenient to apply, they last much, much longer.
