Woven tops are uneven and unsteady, so a glass top is ideal...unless it etched with an extremely unattractive painted design in bright red, that doesn't even match the cushions. This really should have been included (along with a photo) in the description. I considered returning the entire set, but will probably just go through the expense of having the glass replaced. I would recommend the set...but know ALL the facts about it before purchasing it.
